Isn't is fuckin nuts in 2024 we get to see any number of mma greats breakdown fights instantly on their own channels. DC, Chael, Demetrius, Rampage, TJ, Kamaru, Izzy....list goes on and on. In an odd way this fight simultaneously exposed Aliskerov while also confirming his talent. What we found out is the dude is pretty damn chinny. When he got KO’d by Khamzat it was by a brutal step in uppercut-while Aliskerov was moving forward-that would have flattened just about anyone. But the shot that wobbled him bad against Whittaker was a routine overhand left that landed semi-flush while Aliskerov was pulling back. And this from a guy not known for his KO power. So Ikram, sorry bro, your chin is sus af. So how does that speak to his talent? Well, despite having this rather glaring weakness, the dude has still managed to dominate a lot of guys. That means he’s able to win without really getting squarely hit. The bad news for him is that at the elite level, strikes like what Whittaker almost floored him with are impossible to avoid. Doesn’t bode well for his future prospects.

Since I could not watch the fight I just listened to MMA Guru live watch along on KZbin..I am a huge fan of The Reaper and I was rooting for him..but the disrespect and bad mouthing by the Guru towards Aliskerov after the KO is just disgusting and painful to hear even though I’m not a fan of the Russian..he admits he acted the way he did was because of the Russian fanbase..anyway I think the trash talking was way too much..we have the right to like or dislike any fighter but everything has boundaries imo.
