Just imagine if he fought in the ufc when he was young. He probably would even be better. He didn't start fighting until his mid 30s

Bro if he fought in ufc when he was younger he would be a god. He’s already one of the greatest when he started late, so if he started when he was younger and in better shape, yikes

Cormier looks much more explosive here. Wish he would have started younger. But he had to have a wrestling career which has its own merit. Love the sport.

He was more explosive because he was carrying less fat.
@vespaman101
@vespaman101 3 жыл бұрын
@@H.K.5 nah. I was fairly explosive in my teenage years and I didn't really lose it after I gained weight. Might have gotten ever so slightly slower. Mostly it was just endurance. But the speed difference and explosiveness between me at 175 and 235 was minimal. It was mostly endurance. Even recently I went from 255 to 205 and barely got any faster. Explosiveness is more of a training thing not a fat thing. And an age thing.

Front headlock…but when he was threatening to take Hartung to his back, Hartung brought his weight forward, so Cormier he went with hit hard in the same direction, pulling him down to his face. It’s a great example of using misdirection. By initially blocking behind Hartung’s leg, it threatened the throw to his back and Cormier timed his counter beautifully

im not a wrestler myself and i tried looking for this answer online but i couldn't. why do they sometimes touch forehead to forehead?
@tristenpratt9297
@tristenpratt9297 8 күн бұрын
So when they tie up (grab on to each other) they’re trying to push/pull/move the other guy into a position where they can go in for a take down. When you’re tied up like that your heads are naturally closer and using your forehead could actually be a good tool. Back when I wrestled I would dig my head into their temple, no one likes that, made it a lot easier to put them where I wanted them to take a shot haha. That answer your question at all?

Well I believe in wrestling is where the athletic challenge for a wrestler is. Why would they accept mma when they can make it to the top in their sport? Once they are past their prime in wrestling, they move to mma for the dough.
