Your right, he's been in a ton of dog fights. He needs to bring in more knowledgeable coaches. His coaches that he has now, aren't really top tier coaches. Everyone thought so when Max was rolling and winning ,but most of that was all Max. Max has no coach that knows all MMA and has been around and experienced. He has 1 striking coach who hasn't been around long and a jiu jitsu guy, that Max doesn't even really use jiu jitsu or grappling. Max fights one way and that's because his coaches haven't developed him into a well-rounded fighter because they don't know how to. Max needs a coach that can make him well -rounded. I mean how can they not have gotten Max ready for that last fight with Volk, where he got owned. That's not all on Max, that's poor coaching.

I hope Max found someone to come in and really coach him up. Since he started in the UFC, he literally had no MMA coach, then he found his coaches that he has now and they took him on a long run to win the belt and defend it multiple times. But the coaches he has aren't even that knowledgeable. Don't get me wrong they did a good job with Max, but they took him as far as they could take him. Max can be great again if he teams up with skilled, and more knowledgeable coaches that have been in the game for a while. He has a striking coach, a jiu jitsu coach and a guy that helps with his wrestling but all these guys aren't guys that can help Max prepare for top level fighters like Alex. Yeah Alex is great, but part of that is because he has great coaches that prepared him well for Max. And on the flip side, Max's coaches didn't prepare him for a guy they fought twice before and then got smoked the third time. That's not all on Max. I'm not saying get rid of all the coaches, but bring someone in that is a true veteran coach with a ton of knowledge about MMA and not just one area. He doesn't have that.
