Mio dio!! Grazie Daniel!!!

Fantastic actor ...just watched "In the Name of the Father" again last night. He's brilliant in it as Gerry Conlon. The 1st time I saw the movie I was convinced that he actually was Irish since his accent is so authentic. He should've won the best actor Oscar for that role. Tom Hanks performance in Philadelphia was good but Day-Lewis' was superior. In this case Hanks won more for the content and subject matter of the movie than for his performance in it.

Does anyone else notices that he always behaves like the characters he plays for a while after the movie ? In this interview I feel like seeing Gerry Conlon, that only shows that this man gets into the characters he plays and it takes him time to get back to his natural state. DEDICATION, PASSION, DISCIPLINE.
@henzohewson11 ай бұрын
Yeah I noticed that! It feels surreal because its not at all how he acts in the Last of the Mohicans, but you can see Gerry Conlon very well here!

His voice is so masculine and sensual, I love it. Why is the question related to being liked by teenagers? that was weird. You can see Daniel wasn't impressed.
@ASMRyouVEGANyet Жыл бұрын
It was just a question. Valid one because most men don't experience that.
@annalisavajda252 Жыл бұрын
Well he is attractive but I don't think he seeks roles specifically to be considered a sex symbol he's a pretty serious actor. It's like with someone like Christian Bale starves himself for a role or adds 60 pounds but some teens will just say look at his body in Batman as if that's all there is to him the expectation he be a Hollywood "hunk" I think that's why Mathew Mccounaghey didn't win an Oscar until he lost lots of weight he was so stereotyped as just looking good without his shirt on people didn't notice he could act or maybe it was the AIDS subject matter helped get attention like Tom Hanks the year he beat Daniel for this film. Though they gave good performances the subject matter influences the academy also..

I remember when they filmed in the name of the father here in Ireland, I was literally standing 5 feet away from Daniel, I was 18 at the time and my friend kept nudging me telling me that he was looking at me and when I looked he was smiling at me and making eye contact a lot in between takes, so the question the guy is asking about if he's embaressed or flattered by girls liking him, I can tell you he's definitely flattered 😂😂❤❤

È davvero un dio in terra!!! E l'intervistatore è piuttosto sciocco e banale...

It is true. Girls LOVED him in the Last of the Mohicans. Not only that. I can remember being in school and we had to watch the Crucible and girls in my class were swooning over him in that film. 90s Daniel Day Lewis had girls crushing big time and people don't realize because they think Daniel Plainview and Bill the Butcher. lol.

@eliaol4231 He's not irish/English. His mother was born and raised in England, but was from a Jewish family who immigrated from Poland and Latvia. His father was born in Ireland but was Anglo-Irish, which means that he had no irish heritage. All Daniel's fathers' ancestors were English. So Daniel day Lewis, though he has irish citizenship, hasn't an ounce of irish heritage. So if you need a way to describe daniel, it isn't irish/English. It would be Jewish (Polish, Latvian)/English
