He deserves his flowers .. the amount of time and energy he put into playing that role is incredible.. And then for 6 years, I have a hard time with just proper English and not using ebonics at work and I’m only there 8 hours a day 😂😂 to be able to do that for 6 years without loosing his mind is commendable. I’m excited to see what’s next for him.

A lot African Americans complain about British Black actors taking black roles in movies and TV shows, but what their egos won’t admit is that British actors are much better of all races. Black British actors can play Americans, Africans, Caribbeans and Latinos, while American Black actors struggle to play characters who are not American. Even the best American black actors struggle like Will Smith and Terrance Howard’s awful African accents in movies they played Africans and Don Cheadle, Forest Whittaker and Denzil Washington’s awful British accents Oceans 11, The Crying Game and Queen and Country. If the best Americans can do accents, no wonder they are losing roles to British actors with more range.

I’d love to hear his accent prior to All American to truly hear the difference. Strangely, I’m currently binging Love is Blind UK. There are a few cast members whose accents aren’t as heavy and sound more American than UK English. Similar to how Daniel sounds.

Watching a few scenes in "All America", he sounds nothing like a Californian who is Blk. These producers and directors keep using these Brits to play these lead roles of Blk Americans and it is insulting at this point. No, none of their accents are that good. They are very contrived and generic and they don't do a good job with mastering regional accents from our cultural ethnic group. He sounds more middle America who never lived around any Blk Californians on that show.
