Nice interview and I agree with the points raised about the plot. Despite that, I'd so like to watch The Originals for quite a few more seasons. Acting is superb, the atmosphere is the best thing ever, cinematography is to die for and it kinda feels like what Anne Rice would feel like had she not lost her way completely. I'm really surprised that the ratings are not that great considering quite high IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes scores and having in mind that it beats into a pulp anything Anne Rice has published after Queen of the Dammed. I guess for some reason people just don't know about it, or are dubious it's good and not enough try to watch it, although most of the ones who do give it a chance love it. It would be such a shame if it was cancelled, so I just wish everyone decided to sacrifice their Friday nights out and stayed in to watch it :)
