I enjoyed this fight up until the stoppage, the huge size disadvantage for Jacobs made it interesting because he is obviously the better boxer. I remember in the interviews afterwards he said he went flying backwards in shock from several jabs from Chavez because of how big he was lol. But in the end Jr let everyone down unfortunately.

I don’t get why fans throw shit in the ring and to fighters because they’re “disappointed” that a fighter quits. I’m sure most of you don’t know (nor do I) what it’s like to take punches to your head and body. These are trained fighters and if they feel they need to quit then you should respect their decision. I know we all want to see 2 boxers practically kill each other for 12 rounds for our entertainment but you also have to think about them? It’s like fans wouldn’t be satisfied until someone dies in the ring? It’s crazy. Chavez knew he wasn’t going to beat Jacobs so why would he continue to put his life in danger just to please these fans that don’t care about him? And yes those fans can be upset but to throw stuff at him makes no sense. Just don’t pay to watch him again.

First of all, he did not train, he almost never does (According to his father, he only trains whenever he feels like it) And fans are simply tired that he always disappoints us, he has quit multiple times (Example: against Fonfara) and he gets paid around 3 million to not train and quit when he feels like it. Mexican fans like me are simply tired of him embarrassing his legendary father and Mexican boxing. It’s why he no longer has any fans, cause he is an embarasament

In Mexico just doesn’t work like that... if you are in boxing you go til the end, no questions ask, otherwise simply don’t become a boxer, we all know that. Chavez has his last name, but any other Mexican boxer that quits is degraded by the fans, there is no other way down here... (I practiced boxing for 6 years but I didn’t want to continue when I was 15, because it hurts to be punch in the face by another 15 year old that would never quit and won’t stop coming, I didn’t have the guts or the need). I’m glad I quit, that life wasn’t for me.
