The expectation for a 6th year QB should not be “he didn’t fall apart” Look at Daniel’s feet on the first throw that was almost an INT. He’s telegraphing the throw. No 3 step hitch like that will ever be a throw down the field. That’s why Stingley sat on the route. He did under throw the go ball to Hyatt. Could have hit the back pylon. The Giants will be better off when they move on from Daniel Jones. Doesnt matter what he does this year, the Giants need to move on in 2025.

@@darrengordon5197 That's debatable. Tommy has a better QB rating and outplayed Daniel Jones in the same amount of games. Daniel Jones cannot improvise or call his own plays. He cannot operate without a script. And now the defenses who have played against him or have studied him know exactly that he stares down his 1st read. So they're just waiting for him to throw it so that they can pick him off. And this is what we see from him time after time. Did you happen to catch the Broncos vs Packers game tonight? Bo Nix , looked poised, confident, accurate, and had a command of the offense. Jones has been here during a strange chapter of Giants history. From the moment he was drafted their was a collective "WTF" heard throughout the tri-state area. But during his time with the giants, we've seen multiple coaches, we had covid with no fans in the stadium, and the one constant has been no offensive line, so it's been a strange and weird inconsistent time. After watching the HBO hardknocks behind the scenes, It's HONESTLY fair to treat this season as Jone's 1st legit season with the NY Giants because it's such a NEW team now. RIP Barkley, (it broke my heart to see someone else wearing #26 on Saturday) This could easily be DJ's last season, I say easily because Schoen and Daboll are really the one's on the hotseat. Giants have used up all their fan credit. They are maxed out. Mara knows this, he is aware as an owner thank God. I don't believe in Daniel Jones but I do believe or shall I say Bleav 🤣in the NY Giants. So we'll see and I'm hoping for victory.

Carl what fans are upset about is 2 int with 2.8 passer rating against starters. He is not a starting qb. Hyatt not best starting option.

He's making 35.9 mil this yr., I can get better play for a lot less.

That when u know jones is really awful. U got these highly respected guys on here justifying his performance. This is hilarious 🤣.

This was Daniel Jones' first game action since last November coming off a torn ACL. I chalk it up to being rusty. He got better in the second quarter.

Derek Stingley Jr. made that 2nd interception not Singletary. There is no shame in getting beat by Stingley, he's having a great camp and is poised to become a top 5 CB in the league.

Then why did he throw it front shoulder then?

You had DJ torch the Texans defense its the same "fans" who would say its only preseason. The play calling wasn't scheming against the weakness of the defense, it was more of if the opportunity is there, take a shot down the field, even on the pick 6 on the end zone. The pick 6 was atrocious and an inexcusable mistake. The 2nd pick to Hyatt was bad ball placement but you can also argue that Hyatt didn't leave DJ any room to throw being bumped by Stingley all the way to the sideline. Look at the all 22, the oline created a clean pocket for the QB. DJ had time to throw. He was taking shots down the field. Let see how this offense develops given with the weapons we have. We all know that this is a make it or break it season for DJ. I think he knows as well that he has no more excuses for him not to produce. Yes its year 6, but its also the only time in his career that DJ actually has an oline, actually has playmakers on the outside, no Saquon or Engram to volleyball the football for the defense to pick off and also a competent coach to guide him.

He stares down his primary, doesn't go thru his progressions, doesn't elevate the team with his passing. Janiel Dones is an albatross to the franchise.
@ronryanfabellore28692 ай бұрын
@@BlazinBrazen He doesn't elevate the team yet he won a playoff game on the road with a bad o-line and having Richie James of all people as his primary option. On top of that set an NFL Playoff Record. Yet, hey will have you brush it off that it was against a trash Vikings Defense. A "trash defense" that beat Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, Jared Goff.
@BlazinBrazen2 ай бұрын
@ronryanfabellore2869 his game management in that Vikings game was top-tiered for a backup QB. Then he met a real team the next week which should've brought everyone back to reality, but I see it hasn't. 😏
@ronryanfabellore28692 ай бұрын
@@BlazinBrazen If you call that playoff game merely game management then your delusional. LOL the Giants overachieved with a sub par roster. Of course going against that Philly team that was stacked, they were severely outmatched. Who was our best WR? Richie James when you compare that AJ Brown and Devonte Smith. Not to mention the Eagles Oline that were if not top 5 is arguably the best oline that year. Your comparing apples to oranges.
@ronryanfabellore28692 ай бұрын
@@BlazinBrazen Were not even taking into consideration the damage that Garrett and Judge had on DJ's development as a QB. 24 TDs from his rookie year to severely regressing the next two years. Its the same Joe Judge who turned Mac Jones from Offensive Rookie of the Year year 1 to now a different team in just 2 years.
