Rule should be that if you are within reach of your cards, your hand is declared dead. If you want to go up to the rail and chat with friends/family then your hand is dead.

The guy hugging him obviously had something in his hand and passed it to another guy who looked around and put it in his pocket. Seems like it could have been an earpiece and they got rid of it while looking around. Seems very fishy

The WSOP needs to make it strictly illegal to discuss poker with anyone on the rail. There needs to be a rope set up so players cannot touch people on the side lines to prevent coaching or help. “Hey, have you noticed he slides his chips when he’s weak?” Things like this are for the player to figure out. Tomayo’s coach was telling Tomayo to look at the screen. I don’t blame Tomayo, I blame the coach. It clearly was not one player per hand.

You don’t have to be great at poker to win the main event. You just have to have the luckiest run of a lifetime. Let’s be honest, if it’s skill and greatness, then the great Ivey, D.Negs, or all the “great” poker players would win it every year… just ask Moneymaker, Jamie Gold, Yang, yea, they are all great players!

Can’t really blame Tomayo. Looks like he was within the rules. Ethically, it’s shitty. Legally, it seems fine. I’m sorry, but this is on the officiates, not the player.

It's in the Nevada gaming laws that real time assistance is prohibited in ANY game. They don't have to put it in the wsop rules bc the tournament took place in a Nevada casino. Personally, I think 2nd place could sue
