I have just spent a wonderful afternoon listening to Daniel. I would feel very blessed to see him in person, but I live in Johannesburg, South Africa so that is probably impossible. This blesses my Irish heart. If you check a map of Ireland you can find the Mountain Trim and the town of Trim. My father's brother visited it and recommended the family to visit the town. The old remains of the castle there had a visitor's center shop there where you can buy Irish fair. It was fun hearing of his experiences and brought us a bit closer to our own roots. Some "wise guy" had to add the doubling of the last letter to comply with a need to change the name from a verb to a noun so that Trim became Trimm in my generation. When going into broadcasting, I took the original spelling of my name to be my radio handle. At 83 I still am jantrim of radio fm but no longer in CA or NY. L O L !! I still wear my Irish stone ring on the third finger of my left hand and my high school ring on my pinky of my right hand. Thank you , Daniel for bringing me Home Again, every time I hear that Irish Tenor voice of yours.

Daniel, that's such a lovely song.... I haven't done much house work yet, daniel I'm going to blame you...... I'm getting the practise in now, as I'm going home end of next april to a huge reunion of the tynan family....... I'll be the only true blood line there, its going to be a big surprise when i walk in, as no one knows I'm going home, only my great nephew is the one who knows, as it is a top secret.... Came from a family of 15, with 7sisters and 7brothers, had wonderful parents..... they were very well respected in the town of oldcastle...... My father was a blacksmith, and mother was a home maker..... Had a wonderful upbringing, that stood me in good stead.... My dear gentle father never lifted a finger to anyone of us, he was indeed a scolar, as his father was a barron, and educated him..... My god he was so knowledgeable..... Made beautiful wrought iron gates for a lord, also a teacher, and made headstone in wrought iron for a poor couple who couldn't afford to buy one for some of their family who passed on..... That sums my dear dad up to a tee.... Today yhere is only myself, and my sister mary left, she is a year plus younger than me, as we are the two youngest...... Unfortunately mary broke her leg, and has a walking frame so i doubt if she will be able to make reunion so sad..... Daniel you are very welcome to pop in at anytime, and sing us one of your beautiful songs, how lucky we would be to have you there. It is held in oldcastle, co, meath in a nephews pub, so you would easy get to it, and we could have a good chinwag, like so many yrs ago when we met for your first concert here in auckland..... god bless ita camilla smith napier nz nth island ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I became an immediate fan of Daniel O’Donnell when happening across his show on RFD cable channel. An interviewer on line asked Daniel why he has been so successful for over 40 years. Seems he attributes it to always being himself and his love of meeting people. I thought about his reply and agree; however, my belief goes beyond that. He is the total package as an entertainer. His audiences love him, his personality shines through, he has a wonderful voice, he has also surrounded himself with good musicians and management. Finally, the man is just so easy on the eyes. He still looks fine at 60+ years. Seeing him in concerts early on when he was quite young is enough to get this ‘ol gal’s heart beating faster. Blessings to this talented man and his family.
