Kinda amuses me that so many people here think the Manfred Mann COVER of Bruce Springsteen's 'Blinded by the Light' is the original. It's not. Springsteen wrote it and it's the first track on his first album that preceeds the Mann cover by several years. I say this amuses me because in 'Weird: The Al Yankovic Story' one of the jokes is that 'Eat It' is a 'totally, original song' and came before the 'parody' 'Beat It' with Al getting annoyed that Michael Jackson parodied him and that its proving so popular that people will start to believe that 'Beat It' came first and was the original (which obviously in reality it was). So yeah, some people here believe Mann's 'Blinded by the Light' is the original version when it's not, it's always been a Springsteen original. :)
