If you object to that then you should object to her character being described as such in the books. She’s over a decade older than me now. Cho Chang was book accurate. Fleur and Ginny were not. I guess the quote was made in a context in which he compared Emma Watson to the description of Hermione in the early books, in which she was described as a somewhat ugly or at least mousy kid (bushy hair, oversized front teeth, even her friends casually assume she would have trouble to find a partner for the ball) until the Yule ball scene in book 4 where everyone is surprised that she has grown up to look so attractive when properly styled. In the books, it was supposed to be a full on "ugly duckling grew up to be a swan" moment (you know, because according to 90ies movies, mousy brilliant girls must lead miserable lives and their arc isn't complete until they finally turn out to also be pretty princesses that look good enough for the football team captain to want to date them). That moment didn't really fly in the movies because, as Radcliffe so observantly stated, Emma Watson was never ugly.
