May you rise with the dawn, in the light's sweet embrace, Embrace every challenge, with unwavering grace. With each step you take, on this journey you chase, May your dreams be your guide, your heart set the pace. In the face of adversity, let your spirit be strong, As you paint your path brightly, with courage along. With determination as your anchor, you'll belong, To the realm of achievers, where dreams throng. So here's my wish, wrapped in a poetic display, May your aspirations lead you on this fine day. In the pursuit of your goals, come what may, May success be your companion, in every way. 🌟

Trauma (emotional damage from either prolonged abuse/neglect or catastrophic single event that often happens in/during childhood but can happen as teenager or adult) will understandably cause a craving for safety and pushing away of anything that is perceived as dangerous or whatever makes one feel unsafe, unseen, unheard; not mistreated or neglected…. It makes perfect sense why people grasp or push away… these patterns don’t materialize out of thin air. It takes the time it takes to unwind from this. It’s not an overnight resolution.. it has taken me time to unwind the hell that happened to me. Many techniques have loosened the grip around the pain and I can see and understand how awakening is even remotely possible.. had I encountered this 10 years ago it would have made no sense to me, as I was still trying to unwind from deeply held beliefs and patterns designed to protect me (so I thought, they really were enslaving me but I couldn’t see it through all the pain) …. The patterns of grasping and blocking come for a reason.. often from horrific childhood pain.. children have no capacity to manage the overwhelm of neglect and abuse. We then become adults who can’t manage it either……..until we can….for many it’s a long process.

I’m glad you’re working thru it, I’m glad you’re coming into your own being, free from the accumulation of experience/s . I am too, it’s been a many years process, in my fifties now it’s like being alive for the first time. Now I just need to get past a feeling of great sorrow having been trapped in trauma and unable to participate only watch my life go by up until now. Really learning how to live, the things I should’ve learned as a child. Peace and joy to you on your journey.

Trauma can also be a catalyst for waking up. I grew up very isolated, "alone in a crowd" sort of thing. Orphanage, foster homes and all the abandonment issues that life has on offer. But as I got older I came to believe that I was the lucky one. I had a very brief but indelible waking up experience when I was 12 while living in my 3rd foster (I don't like to call them home). I promptly forgot about it because I had no context for it but the experience caused a crack just big enough to let some Light in and it slowly smoldered over the yrs. It became my North Star. After I got a older and saw what my sibs, who I didn't meet till I was 14, were going thru I realized that I was indeed the most fortunate of the 6 of us. I can't even begin to explain how self destructive some of my sibs became because the pain was just too much. They are ALL dead and gone now and I am left with the "story" of "me" and a much healthier perspective on what I am and what I'm not. I am left with gratitude.

TLDR: Awakening through meditation and self-inquiry leads to freedom from the conditioned self and ego, allowing for enlightened action and a sense of unity and non-duality. 1. 00:00 🧘 Awakening is the solution to suffering and the world's problems, as it involves realizing one's true nature beyond the conditioned self and experiencing less suffering. 1.1 Awakening is the solution to the world's problems, as they stem from the delusion of being a limited character, and when individuals disidentify from their conditioned character, it brings about a transformation and freedom from suffering. 1.2 Awakening is about realizing your true nature, which is beyond the mind and senses, and the measure of its benefit is suffering less. 1.3 Before meditation, the speaker experienced a lot of suffering due to the conditioned self, but now suffers less and has a more expanded experience of life. 1.4 The speaker discusses the realization that the "I" that awakened from the meditation practice was not a person, and that all the learned meditation tricks and practices were of no use in the process of awakening. 2. 06:49 🧘 Awakening through meditation and self-inquiry leads to freedom from conditioned character and ego, allowing for enlightened action and a sense of unconditioned "I" and equanimity with what arises. 2.1 The speaker discusses the process of letting go of the conditioned character and the concept of enlightened action being free of preference and ego. 2.2 Awakening from the conditioned character through meditation and self-inquiry. 2.3 Awakened experience is not attached to phenomena, egoic preferences, or conditioned self, and is characterized by a sense of "I" that is unconditioned and unlimited, leading to a state of play and equanimity with what is arising. 3. 11:03 🧘 Meditation and self-inquiry lead to true meditation, where the mind settles and we let go of the false self to be unmediated by the conditioned mind. 3.1 Meditation techniques and practices are useful at the beginning but as we go deeper into meditation, there is less doing and more focus on the present moment. 3.2 Meditation and self-inquiry converge to lead to true meditation, where the mind settles down and we let go of the false self to be unmediated by the conditioned mind. 4. 14:52 🧘 Recognizing primordial awareness and allowing the false self to fall away leads to unity and non-duality, discovering the true self through self-inquiry and realizing primordial consciousness as ever-present and beyond words. 4.1 Recognizing the primordial awareness of beingness and allowing the false self to fall away leads to a sense of unity and non-duality. 4.2 Let go of everything and inquire within to discover the true self, which is always present. 4.3 Your true nature is primordial consciousness or awareness, which is ever present and remains constant through waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. 4.4 Our true nature cannot be defined by words and can only be realized through a beginner's mind, as the limited mind tends to put it in a box. 5. 20:57 🧘 Let go of beliefs and continuous practices to awaken through self-inquiry and purifying conditioned patterns. 5.1 Believing in concepts like awareness or consciousness limits the mind, but spiritual practices can create conditions for awakening to happen. 5.2 Let go of continuous practices to release conditioned patterns and unconscious self-structure. 5.3 The direct path involves self-inquiry for the Awakening experience, while the long path focuses on purifying the conditioned patterns of the self-structure. 6. 25:17 🧘 Awakening is about discovering who you are, but staying awake requires purifying the mind through practices like meditation, yoga, and qigong to free energy from conditioning. 6.1 The importance of waking up is to find out who you are, but it's possible to fall back asleep if the whirlpool of the mind hasn't been dealt with, so purification is necessary to stay awake. 6.2 The process of purification involves making unconscious programming conscious through practices such as meditation, yoga, and qigong to free energy from the conditioned self. 7. 27:56 🧘 Meditation and self-inquiry lead to rewiring the conditioned mind, realizing true awareness, and reducing suffering and egoic activity. 7.1 The process of meditation and self-inquiry allows for the rewiring of the conditioned mind, leading to the purification of the self-structure and the realization of true awareness. 7.2 In the samadhi state, there is no separation between the self and the world, and if more people were awakened, there would be less suffering and egoic activity. 8. 32:10 🧘 Less corruption in the world is due to egoic activity in all dimensions of human life, and awakening to the truth that we are all one consciousness can help us overcome egoic tendencies.

I’ve heard that when “you” meditate, you’re reinforcing the idea of a “meditator”. Like Paul Hedderman stated, there’s a “verbing”, then an assumption of a “noun”, a you. Hard to grasp, but the only journey that must be taken to be free of ego ( edging God out) unconditional Love and alight to all that are on the path 🙇♀️💛

Actually This is ‘prior’ to the world, mind, senses and experiences, not beyond. It is already here prior to them, not out there beyond them . This creates and illuminates the world, mind, senses and experience . This is an important distinction as ‘beyond’ often leads to seeking for what is always already shining as one’s true nature. Thank you for your great work and all of your films! 🙏❤️🙏

This is all true, but the more awakened I become, the more I realize that it doesn't change anything on the physical realm. We often talk about how the world would be better if we all became awakened, but I don't think that's the case. We are karma, and the ego is who we are. The world should be nearly the same as it is now even if we all became awakened beings. The huge difference is that there would be no suffering in anyone though, but the outward world that is karma, the ego, would still be here. Until each and every single person is willing to sacrifice their lives for another, it won't change, and we as egoic beings shouldn't expect that that is a sacrifice we need to make.
@AwakenTheWorldFilm Жыл бұрын
Yes, the external world is like a great river moving in a certain direction and our human avatars are going for the ride. The external world remains the same in one sense- the river is as it is, flowing in a certain direction. But the experiences of those going down the river and the journey will change radically. Those characters won't be tearing each other apart out of fear along the way and suffering. From one perspective nothing changes, from another, everything changes.

Awakening the world means the world would finally SEE the sacred beauty that it is. Seeing the real sacredness in each other would release so much inward and outward unwarranted selfish competition and suffering.

You know how when an animal in Africa , say, learns to use a twig as a tool, that same kind of animal thousands of miles away on a different continent also begins using that technique? I feel like this should work in “awakening “ too , I feel like it should be spreading and that more people should be becoming self aware.

@ashwinprabhu1333 ай бұрын
It’s unfortunate that Sanskrit in which most of the scriptures were written was taken away and English was taught, however I now also feel fortunate that we learnt English so I can understand what Daniel is talking about - it’s a long path but it’s still a spiritual path that I am still on ❤ 😊. I guess this was the intention of god or the divine force that created all this.. Also if we all get awakened - then what about creation and progress not spiritually but materialistically.. what about population growth, use of resources, building rockets to create a habitable space on Mars and other planets… what about the search for life and what about life on other planets in other galaxies? Are they also on the same path?

Hey, I also like the Zen phrase that life actions show an awakening. So why not talk about what changed in life by looking at challenges before and after the awakening. Is there more for you than less suffering?
