Fantastische Sketchbook-Session🥰❤ Ich experimentiere immer noch mit dem Schminke Aquagrund. Ich denke da muss ich auch noch weiter tüfteln, denke mehrere Layer sind vielleicht eine Option, lass es uns ausprobieren 😍

Danke Du Liebe! 😊 Ich hab noch ein bisschen romprobiert und dickes vorsichtiges Auftragen mit Moves von links nach rechts und oben nach unten, also dass wenig Pinselstriche in eine Richtung sichtbar sind war ganz gut.. für mehrere Layer hatte ich auch noch keine Geduld 😅.. Aber da gibts noch viel zum Austesten... berichte mir gerne was Du so rausfindest 😀❤️

Hallo liebe Xoonani, danke für das tolle Video. Und den Reminder, dass ich die Grundierung auch zuhause hab. Hab noch keinen Weg gefunden, es zufriedenstellend einzusetzen. Vielleicht könnt man mal probieren eine Schicht horizontal und die andere vertikal aufzutragen, vielleicht reduziert das die Pinselstriche. Ich könnte es auch mal in meinem Marker Pad einsetzen, bei dem sich ja ziemlich schnell durch das Wasser das Papier auflöst. Vielleicht hilft da die Grundierung. lg von mir und viele 😘😘😘😘😘😘

Ich habe noch Versuche mit Pinselstrichen in beide Richtungen gemacht das gab auch ganz gute Ergebnisse.. besser als nur in eine Richtung. ich habe allerdings festgestellt, dass bei meinem artcreation Skizzenbuch es zum Teil auf der anderen Seite zu sehen ist, wenn ich da auch mit einer eher nassen Technik arbeite.. so wie Fettflecken.. was man nicht sieht wenn auf die Rückseite keine Nasstechnik kommt. Da muss ich auf jeden Fall nochmal rumprobieren. Ich glaube auch für Mixed Media Projekte wo dann Aquarellfarben nochmal oben drauf sollen ist das sicher auch spannend... 🧐 Und natürlich auf Holz oder Leinwand.. sicher auch interessant. Auch ganz liebe Grüße! ❤️

Soooo it's almost like acrylic gesso?? Just made for watercolors. Btw... lovely illustrations as always. I'm gonna have to get me some of this stuff! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it and how to use it!

I heard that they are not so great when it comes to multiple layers, so maybe it will work better with acrylic ink 🤔 I loved your paintings!

Great idea! Did you find the watercolor ground was gentle on your aqua marker nibs? Regular clear gesso would be too rough, I would think.

I think it works fine.. I had no problem with the tips. It is not as rough as gesso. And rly sucking.. so you dont need a lot of pressure.. In the last months I haven’t used this ground because I always have to wait until it’s dry 😅🙈 there are always pros and cons.. I’m not a patient person.

I was thinking about trying watercolor ground, but I am not impressed with how it works. It works the same as my cheap sketchbook from Walmart. I don't know what I was expecting. I know one artist who is using QoR ground, and her work looks fantastic. She does many layers around 5, she said it takes her like a month to prepare a page. I am too lazy for this.

Hmmm that sounds interesting 🤔 perhaps I have to try this. I think with this medium its all about testing and playing.. perhaps I will find out sth rly cool, then I will share this with you all! 😊

When I used it the pigments (watercolor) were extremely easy to lift. It was impossible for me to work in layers. Did you made the same experience?

Yes so it was in my tests as well.. but not with the Schmincke Horadam, layering was possible but I only had 2 or 3 layers. This problem was more with the Aquamarkers. With them I had to be very careful.. But if you know it, you can play around with this.. like a new medium which can do new things..

Multiple layers aren't worth it and only good if you missed a spot (imho). If you apply it over a drawing it will also get a faint white chalky shine for each extra layer you apply.

Oh to apply it over a drawing .. perhaps also over a painting with another medium like acrylics.. this could be an awesome idea! Thank you! 😀
