At 2:25 you can see the Soviet coach like "What the hell..." and both he and Shushunova applaud... I thought it was a rare token of sportsmanship at a time when the Iron Curtain countries rarely interacted or reacted to one another at competitions...

Thank you for pointing that out - and I totally agree with you. It is so nice, that after watching a routine for a million times (because you love and enjoy the artistry and difficulty), that you can concentrate on other things besides. That is mostly the reason, why I love to show the whole scenery.... from the beginning, until the last slow motions ends. There are so many things to notice. 💚😏💚

Yes the Romanian authorities changed the date of birth on her passport but she dodged absolutely nothing! she just did what she was told by the authorities in relation to her 'new age' and went on to show everybody else how good she was. Give her some credit!!!

I know - this was the moment the star (Daniela Silivas) was born, but to this day I wished, Ecaterina Szabo would have had the chance to win the Gold Medal. It was so disappointing to see her leave the World Championships without a first place. She was the Olympic Champion on this apparatus and won 4 Gold Medals in Los Angeles.... a commentator said in one of her routines, it would be the 'Revenge of LA'..... so sad!
