They won't fight to prol 3 years or so. That's like saying feed Khamzat to Usman when he first joined the UFC - he even had more fights then then Bo has now. We all saw what Burns did to Khamzat, who had more experience compared to Bo vs Craig, was much smaller, didn't finish LHW champs like Craig did.....and Bo beat Craig 30-27, didn't get rocked, didn't gas, and did everything his coaches wanted. Khamzat just went to balls to the wall, gassed, nesrly got finished and didn't do anything his coaches wanted. And even if Bo fought Khamzat now, I don't think it goes how the recency bias mob thinks. Funny that Khamzat was called "the greatest waste of talent in Mma" a few weeks ago, now world champ wrestler Bo doesn't have a chance? Huh? Cool the brakes. You are wrong, there are many factors to this. First off Netflix would go out of business if they put on fights like this regularly. The main event fighters got paid $60 million between them. This was a marketing play, nothing more Secondly, the only reason it got so many views is because it was Tyson & Jake Paul, who are both “celebrities” on top of being fighters There’s no way Netflix would do a deal to broadcast UFC events in the future, without it costing more than just a standard subscription. There’s a massive difference in cost to provide live sporting events opposed to prerecorded media like movies So yes, streaming in likely the future, but you won’t get premium combat sports events included for only $15-$20/ month cost

11:18 Honestly i'm kinda with DC on this one. I think people might be in for a rude awakening here, Everyone loves to trash Jones, And wants to believe Tom goes out there and just destroys him, But i mean, He's still Jon Jones. The idea that ANYONE will just walk through him is insanity. We KNOW what Jon is capable of, There's still ALOT of unanswered questions regarding Tom for this fight. 16 years into the UFC and Jones has never even been wobbled let alone dropped, If his chin manages to hold up once again against Tom...What then? We haven't seen Tom even go 2 full rounds yet, We can only speculate as to how his cardio actually holds up. And as far as grappling goes, From what we've seen from Tom, At least in the UFC, He has solid grappling, But we don't actually know how his grappling will hold up against a wrestler as good as Jones. We can only speculate on that as well. And finally, How will he handle being in the moment, He's had some big fights at HW, But again, This is Jon Jones we're talking about. The level of spotlight and attention this fight is gonna get will be MASSIVE, And Jones has made a career off these moments, This will be Tom's first rodeo in that regard. Again, We can only speculate how he handles the moment. Now i do think there's three key factors for Tom that we KNOW he has, Power, Youth & Speed. And IMHO if there was any moment in time where these particular attributes would pose trouble for Jon, Its at this stage in his career. But if I'm looking at this fight totally unbiased, From everything i do know as of this moment, As much as everyone is riding for Tom, I personally will not be surprised in the slightest if Jon manages to go out on a victory.
@EvanD95905 сағат бұрын
Jon dog walks Tom. Jon makes world class fighters look ordinary, he'll control the distance and patty cake Tom from the outside with kicks and jabs and then he'll take Tom down. Its insane that people think Jon is scared, he is better at every aspect of the fight game. Tom has power, Jon has fought a bunch of power hitters and he doesn't just pull a Max Holloway and eat them, the literally go the whole fight not being able to land the power shot. I would never say Jon has a great chin, because honestly i can't name too many times where he's actually been caught other than the first Gus fight.
@butterschunkmcdonalds53333 сағат бұрын
@EvanD9590 Nah I've seen Jon get hit by fighters best shots and eat them. DC in their second fight landed several full torque overhands on Jon and he just stood there, Glover landed several full torque uppercuts on Jon and he just stood there, Closest I've seen to him getting even remotely stunned was actually when Machida caught him with literally the perfect counter left when Jones threw a kick, And Jon somehow managed to stay balanced. Jones def has a good chin, But most the time he doesn't get hit or he just rolls with the punches incredibly well.

In my opinion, Aspinall is only 2 fights into deserving to even fight for the belt. That's the issue here. He was way overrated before he was anywhere near championship material. It's because he's good, Yt, and attractive. Point blank. You can add the fact that people cling to ANYTHING to take Jones down a notch. His last 2 wins are legit title shot wins. But there are probably like 5 guys across the UFC in that same position, with a more established resume. That dont get half the fan support he does. For one, Aljo. He should be fighting Illia.

DC, on the subject of misunderstandings, YOU'RE misunderstanding "Jon is afraid of Tom". It doesn't mean he's physically scared of him as a human, it means he's worried about Tom's threat to his record and legacy. That's literally the point, he's afraid of what Tom could do in a fight with him.
@ariangoleh19 сағат бұрын
An average human being telling DC that he’s misunderstanding, WTF are you to say what Jon feels or thinks 😂, were not in the same caliber as these guys, we don’t think like them except it. WTF is Tom and how many champions did he fight??? what accomplishments does he have? Ok quit 🤫
@ruseruser222718 сағат бұрын
@@ariangoleh I'm not telling DC he's understanding the fight game. He's got way more insight than either of us combined there. My point is he keeps shifting the narrative that Jones isn't scared. No one's talking about Jones being scared to fight, it's been obvious from the beginning he's reached the point where he's reached such a peak that he's now looking down from the tightrope he's walking and is scared for his record. Also, this narrative has gotten completely out of hand. Tom's destroyed 5/10 of the top 10 and Jones has beat 2, one of which has clung to top 10 purely on legacy, Stipe was literally retired. That's literally the conundrum, Jon is the champion and he's telling Tom to fight more champions 🤣🤣 but go on, if that's what you believe as well, who's next for Tom to fight, having more progress cleaning out the division than the actual reigning champion?
@forwardmoving825212 сағат бұрын
No he's afraid. Full stop. Only delusional fanboys would say otherwise at this point.
@forwardmoving825212 сағат бұрын
@ariangoleh tom is the guy Jon is running scares from you delusional bozo. Imagine if shogun refused to fight Jon and said "who is this Jones guy and what champions has he beaten"? Instead he was a man and gave Jones the shot. Now Jones is blatantly ducking tom because he knows he has no chance against him 😂 you're a clueless fanboy

The man that fought him twice has more viable, rational insight than somebody that just watched them fight. People keep saying this guy or that guy’s gonna beat Bones, and yet… Chael says Jon’s an elite fighter. Rashad Evans said it. Rampage said it. Men who’ve been in the cage with him say he’s unstoppable. People watching bootlegged ppv’s swear “But he hasn’t fought…” Who you gon make him fight next, Hercules?

He's not powerful or quick at heavyweight. He doesn't have a chance on the feet. His kick were a decent speed but Jon's only way to victory is grappling. Stipe was catching Jon and he was throwing the slowest combinations I've ever seen. Jones 7 years ago is a different scenario. Nobody beats Jon 7 years ago.

The media and people like DC, Chael and bum Jorge are the ones comparing Bo with Khamzat more than Bo comparing himself with Khamzat, not that Bo is not comparing but the media is fuelling it, DC is out here telling Bo that he will easily 10-0 Khamzat in wrestling, no DC, just because an elite athlete doesn’t choose to be a pure wrestler doesn’t mean he isn’t a good wrestler, there’s a good chance Khamzat does really well in NCAA if he competed or even at the olympics, or it’s highly probable
@carlosbonilla453717 сағат бұрын
Tyson vs Paul did good because it was free. The ppv model is dead, a lot of people would rather not watch the fights than pay $90 for a ppv. The ufc would be much better off charging $25-$30 a month for espn+ and including the ppvs as part of that price.

He got the W he gets to move onto the next guy. I agree. He’s not ready for Hamza. At least what we’ve seen of him. We all love Bo nickel, but the performance he showed us last night. Hamza with slaughtering, but at least Beau did not lose that’s the plus on this. He protected that W with everything he had.

John has no reason to fight Aspinall, why would he? Aspinall is younger, faster, risky, no record of beating any name. So it makes no sense for John to risk his legendary status against a younger, faster opponent that if he beats him, haters will just turn around and say Aspinall was never that great.. If he loses, then they will discredit all his accomplishments like age isn't a factor. What John should do is ask for a lot of money, an HUGE amount worth the risk to his brand too. John with his record and his history can literally open an KZbin channel and make millions just out of it. Now if he loses to someone with no record, his brand will be affected and his legacy will be hurt. Not worth the risk really.. Another alternative is to let Aspinall prove himself, let Aspinall fight the likes of Ceril Gane, Francis (if he comes back), there are other huge HWs that he can fight, and then after he prove he deserves, make the fight, again, for an HUGE amount of money for Jones, since he is risking it all here.

You are 100% right DC, but you don't have to worry. Bonus one of Daddy Dana's favorites, this means he will save Bob from himself. Bo doesn't know he is being brought a long slowly and surrounded by people that boost his confidence. unless he makes fast improvements, his next fight might be a step down. I'm sure Dana doesn't want to risk him keep getting hit in the head before he reaches his potential.
