🔥🇺🇦Only Usyk possessed this amount of technique to overcome the size advantages that Fury always carries over his opponents. Not to take away from Fury but his size was always a problem. In his Wilder fights the guy had about 50 pounds over him, on average. Everyone else, at least 25 pounds on average. To put into scope, this was a middleweight vs a HW in the UFC. Crawford and Usyk are generational talents. Fury never moved me at all. Imagine some crediting him as the greatest HW of all time all while in the same breadth crediting Wilder as a one trick pony. Thats when the overhyped chatter began, after the trilogy fight. Size matters in combat sports

He got hurt in the 8th, but he was out on his feet in the 9th. I think Usyk help back a bit too, because he thought the fight was going to get stopped. Go back and watch his hand. He stutters it a few times, realized the ref isn't calling it, then steps in to end it and the ref broke it up. I think Usyk had he not thought Tyson was out and that it should be stopped, he could have EASILY finished Fury. I kind of respect Usyk it seemed like he wanted to win, not hurt Fury. Usyk has quickly become what I think is the BEST champion for the modern age to look up to. He is the picture of a champion with such sportsmanship!

For all who saying the referee should not have started counting it is a rule when the ropes are the only thing to keep you for not getting knockdown the ref have to start counting since it is officially ruled a knockdown. For all who say he should have stepped in and call off the fight, he clearly did the right thing since Fury was manage to go the distance. We need more referees like this no wonder we don't see the corralles vs castillo, gatti vs ward type of fights anymore. Fight was great usyk deserved to win

Fury was standing. Usyk was hitting him. When the referee got in-between, Usyk was in position to land another hit. It's only a knockDOWN if the fighter goes DOWN. The ref saved fury from the onslaught. He would've gotten more damage before going down. That's why such a stoppage is called a TKO normally.

Fury usually fighte defencivly forcing his opponents to gas out. Them he uses the fact that most of his opponents are big and slow guys that get tired easily to throw a slow left hand that he does not retract pushing at his tired opponents face and blocking his vision to land a right hand in a forward motion falling into a clinch that his tired opponent welcoms. Fury does this mainly to rest himself but for whatever reason what is illegal resting has been rebranded in Tysons case as „leaning”.The leaning foes not wear out his opponents it’s the fact that Fury initially fights defencivly and forces his „big, slow opponents” to atack. His opponents, to overcome his reach throw long heavy overhand punches that in most cases do nit reach their target. This is what draines their stamina. This is when Fury uses tiredness of his opponents to block their view and land punches they do nit see and are unable to brace for properly rewarding them with a clinch his opponents are happy about as it gives both guys a rest. Bog heavy punches eat up allooooot of stamina and when they miss they eat double the stamina. A tired opponents is slower less movile and punches he throws have far less power. Heavy punch accuracy tells a story of who has the upper hand in a fight. Jabs are harder to analyse as the best boxers like Usym have a multipurpouse jab and not all punches are ment to land on the opponent. Usyk landed allot of his power punches and his power punches had more power behind them. By round 7 Furys power punch output and especially acuracy of said punches dropped significantly while Usyk is very consistent from round 7. Fury had 5 rounds where he landed 6 or less heavy punches. Usyk had one round where he scored 6 heavy punches (it was round 1 in which Fury landed 1 heavy punch). Fury outlanded Usyk on heavy punches only in two rounds (rounds 5 and 6)while it was a draw in two rounds. This is according to compubox stats that are bias to Fury as anyone who rewached the fight especially in slow motion knows.
@orestmakar8562
@orestmakar8562 3 ай бұрын
After round 2 Usyk corner told Usyk that Fury is not engaging him and fighting defencivly and that Usyk should move less especially sideways and draw Fury to go on the atack. It was not said why he shoulf fo it but it is obviouse. To fool Fury into believing that Usyk got tired and now is his chance to go on the offencive. In Round 3 Usyk started moving a bit less imitating being tired but Fury did not bite imediatelly. In round 4 Fury scored a few good punches that made him believe that if he commits to the fight now he gould KO Usyk. This is what we saw in founds 5,6. In round secen Fury started getti g tired and Usyk stuck to his game plan probing is he really tired and trying to drain Fury a bit more. After round 7 Usyks corner told him to start increasing the pace (untill it would became unsustainable for Fury). Usyks corner wanted Usyk to drain Fury in early rounds so Usyk could capitalism on Tyson being tired in later rounds. Tyson knew that conserving his stamina will be the key to succes, that is why he fought defencivly on the backfoot. This is why Usyks corner made Usyk „pretend to get tired” to create a fake seance of volnurability that Fury hopefully would fall for and overcommit looking for a KO believing that is he only pushes a little harder he will manage to KO Usyk. Usyks corner actually advices him on how to avoid dampen Furys punches after round 5. This is why despite taking some punches Usyk took most of them well. Usyk braced very well for almost all punches. This is why they did not hurt him especially the body punches. Many casuals think that having a good chin = having the ability to take on heavy punches while in reality it all boils down to being able to see and brace for punches properly. The more tired you get the more slopy you become and the slower your reflexes are. This results in you not seing and or not being able to brace for punches or brace properly for punches. Any casuals are impressed with boxers taking heavy punches into the stomack while knowing the angle and placement of the punch. If you look at how Usym traines for body punches tou will see the body punches are not heavy but they come from different angles forcing him to brace properly for every punch developing muscle memmory. In most cases boxers that get hurt from a body punch are hurt because they overextended and did not expect tge punch or saw the punch but due to being out of balance couldn’t brace properly or were too tired to brace properly.

The punch stats are as bogus as the split-decision. After four, the punch stats showed Fury 10-punches up on Usyk, which is total bs. Usyk won the first three rounds, but because the third was closer than the first two, people gave it to Fury. Fury had good moments, but this was not a close fight. I can't wait for AI to start tracking punch stats, and ultimately to judge the fights. Judging in boxing is worse than the UFC.

Sorry. But boxing just sucks these days. After the 90s when Tyson, Lewis and guys like Holyfield went out that Era and the sport went blah. The guys make way too much, they get the event and promotions wrong way more than right, guys talk crazy act like they want it, then they get that check for 20 to 50 million plus endorsement money for one night and they never put on as good of a show or seem to care about anything except that check clearing. If getting a belt, absolutely beating the crap out of their opponents, having their hand raised, being the best in the world, Makin fans live and on TV go crazy N feel some type of emotion were their first priorities the sport would be so much better and worth watching. But none of that happens or is done, Tysons too worried about his wife allowing him to buy another jet he claims he needs with having multiple already 😂. It was totally a draw.. aside from Fury losing the majority of rounds, throwing less punches, landing less punches, fighting on the backfoot the entire fight, causing less damage and getting knocked out he definitely scored a draw

How? Fury didnt even go down? Why stop an undisputed fight before the guy hits the canvas🤣🤣he was held up by the ropes and by rule thats a knockdown, the ref was perfect….
@XxPetexXx
@XxPetexXx 4 ай бұрын
@@BotmopperthekingThats not "the rule". The ref CAN call a knockdown on that but its up to him. It saved Furys ass tho because a few more seconds and it would have either been a knockout or stoppage. The ref was in his right to do it, but he could also have let Usyk go and called a stoppage. So he saved Furys ass

I had Uysk as an all time goat before this fight for everything he's done in the amateur, and pros being an Olympic gold medalist, and world gold medalist in the amateur, and in the pros being undisputed cruiser weight/unified heavyweight champ...now that he is undisputed he is the goat for me. For heavyweight at least. Because inoue is still so young and he is the best boxer alive right now for me. He has time to make his name even greater I mean the dude went undisputed in 2 weight classes in a calendar year.
