Feeling and Controling the Horse's Feet by Dauphin Horsemanship,

This is a game called the Hokey Pokey. It is a deceptively simple game, which I use to help people get a feel for and control of the horse's feet. One of the great things about it, is the small space needed to play. You can easily sharpen your seat and your horse's responses in the hallway of the barn, on a rainy day. This game can be made far more complex than what is seen here, but for most people, this simplest level is plenty challenging.

after all the riding and training I have never been instructed on the hoof beat count to this extent. I will definitely apply this to my riding
