The fact that EA WRC is so terrible in VR probably makes it a great benchmark ironically 🤣if you can get it running well or looking well then you're truly dealing with a worthy headset!

Perfect analogy that can save a sim racers a lot of needless stress.....'mechanical failures happen'. If your game craps out on you...just imagine you were running 2005/6 spec CTDP F1 cars and the engine, gearbox or tire blew!! Hahaha!

Always frustrating when it happens, especially as that battle with Brodie was promising to be epic (as always) but sometimes these things can't be helped. Funny you mention CTDP though, I remember using their F1 2005 mod for rFactor 1 back in the day and there were a few people on the grandprixgames forums who would lovingly refer to it as 'Crash To Desktop Pro' 🤣

How about latancy of Pimax? I tried quest3 on assetto corsa competizione and its quite unplayable. (4080 users)

I can't find an official figure from Pimax regarding the latency and I can't seem to find any third party tools to test it at my end either unfortunately so can't get you any first hand information, however I do know that the Quest3 is probably one of the highest latency headsets available, especially if you're using it wirelessly. That said, I'm yet to find someone who's dialled in ACC perfectly for VR, even on 4090s 😅 all I can say is good luck.

George is spot on the money there 😉Nvidia 3080 10GB card and Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor, running the Pimax Crystal Light at 0.5 render quality and 72hz so definitely not making the most of it (especially not in RaceRoom which doesn't work with OpenComposite unfortunately and can't run in OpenXR which is vastly superior for performance) but still having a great time nonetheless!

@@DDFRacer I messed around with the settings for a long time. I have a 4090 but it doesn't work with the old DX9. I'm also at 0.5 but 120HZ and strangely enough it works better than at 90HZ.

fps is pretty low.

Not sure what's going on there 🤔 was running at a steady 72fps inside the headset for the vast majority of the time, would maybe dip a frame or two here or there but nothing major. Video streamed to KZbin at a steady 60fps with no skipped frames either, at a bit of a loss. Watching back and I can't see anything _too_ bad, are there any specific sections you noticed which were more obvious than others? Seems okay at this end but if you're picking up on something then I want to look into that and get it fixed obviously 👍
