You do not get it for free if you bought the previous Sonic packs.

You need to keep the item inhand to play as the character. Otherwise, you transform back to normal.

If you own the Bedrock version of Minecraft, you can launch the game and you'll see that this Sonic Add-On will appear in the Marketplace.
