Parquet Courts Desert Daze 10/12/19 - Moon Stage (Main Stage) 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. PST Revisiting this set as PQ sets to embark on their Spring Tour this year. Here's the setlist with timestamps. Thanks, as always, Kirby for capturing and uploading this set. Thank you for your continuous archival efforts - this set certainly is one of Parquet Courts' best for this Wide Awake! era, and setlist-wise it's amazing for a festival set. Setlist: 0:00 Total Football 3:56 Dust 8:15 Almost Had to Start a Fight / In and Out of Patience 11:18 Freebird II 14:55 Before the Water Gets Too High 19:07 Sean bass 19:43 One Man No City 30:58 Tenderness 34:08 Wide Awake (feat. JelloMan) 38:13 Normalisation 40:33 Master of My Craft 43:40 Borrowed Time 46:00 Donuts Only 47:28 She's Rolling 55:06 Light Up Gold II -Notes: Everything seems faster than normal - Total Football comes out blazing, Wide Awake is the fastest I've heard it yet, even Master of My Craft seems to be bumped up a few BPMs. Maybe PQ was trying to jam in as much as they could in a set, maybe it was the desert heat pushing them to the limits. Regardless of motives, they delivered an amazing set. Total Football through Freebird II is a fiery way to kick off the set (Dust > Almost... is stellar, another great performance of this transition is on Pitchfork's page, from their 2019 festival appearance earlier this year). One Man No City this early in a set is a real treat, and the immediate follow up by Tenderness (this early in their set) is something else.

A lot of people had just come from Surfbort's set, so I wonder if they were watching haha. Devo certainly were. It was my second time seeing Parquet Courts ever and they definitely played faster than earlier that year
