I agree with you about this, her reactions are so good and appreciating vocals and stuff, others “vocal couches” reacting to my hair didn’t even know what whistles notes were and calling themselves “vocal couch” and talking mad stuff about it without even knowing anything about it…. Ariana is one of the BEST vocalist of this generation in my book.

I've seen a few "vocal coaches" going like "what is this", or just putting her down when she hit those whistle notes..while you have a whole different opinion on it, it just tells me how much you know your stuff..amazing to finally see a coach being surprised about that part, it blew my mind the first time i heard her

I have heard from a video that Ariana has been trying to not do the whistle sound too much because of her vocal cords. They said that they sound unhealthy and not as good as they were before. Which is fine but I think she should dial it down, but I must say, her vocal cords are AMAZING!

Although I don’t think Ariana hits up to E7 in this song (I think the highest note in this song is E6) But the section of whistle still INSANELY AMAZING 🤩🤩

the normal chorus is mostly in the 5th octave and the whistles are mostly in the 6th but it’s still crazy cus she goes down all the way to an E5 in whistle which is crazy low for a whistle note

First of all, no reason to compare. Secondly, I feel like you're definitely biased, because writing the entire chorus in whistle register is MOST DEFINITELY creative. Another thing, I think you can consider Ariana's phrasal whistle sustained. Plus, Ariana's whistle isn't "pristine" is NOT a bad thing. Her whistles are breathy, and quite honestly gorgeous.
