Honestly ive been a little disappointed with my inegras. Mine have a stress mark roughly where some people drill (no drilling on mine). No one can tell me if its safe or not and theyre "out of warranty". I originally thought I was being pedantic when i first noticed the stress mark forming but its continued to develop and is quite pronounced now. I think it's related to the layering of the fiber (ie where they have reduced the number of layers for progressiveness) but im not able to really tell. Im not convinced I'd go DiveR again

I didn’t do much research on fins and I don’t know much about them. I just bought my first carbon composite fins. @finnbismark8 ай бұрын
See if you can do a pool training session where you can try other peoples fins. The difference is huge between carbons and plastic fins if you dive often, or deep or do a lot of surface swimming they are well with the upgrade. I currently run a pair of soft diveR carbon fins and they are awesome (height 185cm weight 85kg). You can get even more of a benefit out of carbon fins if you change your kicking stroke to keep you knees a bit straighter than with plastics and do a much smaller flutter kick rather than the longer slower kicks that work better with plastic. Wayne Judge has done some excellent videos talking about the difference in performance and the best fining technique.
@quinnculver8 ай бұрын
@@finnbismark Thanks. I have carbon fins and do A LOT of surface swimming, often against strong Oahu current. My freedive instructor, a former USA champion, said, "I have exclusively used $100 plastic fins for the better part of last 8 years to conduct my daily training/teaching. In spite of those being sufficient for a 'professional' like myself I continue to witness the ubiquitous obsession with carbon fins."

Wettie has the DiveR Ineegra for $440 and they install the foot pockets which range $80 to $110. Ships to the USA for $50. I am assuming shipping is probably the same world wide. I started off with plastics many years ago and upgraded to carbon fiber. In a short while after doing rocky rock/reef entries I started to become worried that these might break because they show signs of stress. I am pretty easy on my gear, but these dive conditions are rough. I dive in California and in Costa Ricq. I am always worried about breaking these fins and being stranded with a current in some of these areas. Your on your own if something happens or you become a burden to your dive companions. I am also worried about international travel. I don’t know what it is about going to Costa Rica, but my bags get destroyed and this worries me with my fins.
