Just wanted to mention that every boat in British open water has to stay 90m away from a diver below buoy, so next time a fisherman comes this close to your buoy tell him guys off.

Daniel, I know some people dislike what you are doing but for me its the most sustainable way to harvest fish! Keep going, I am amazed by your videos!

Dan, I like that you shore dive. I think it increases our sport by letting others know a boat is not a must, which means affordable for pretty much everyone. I believe showing the beach cleaning and suiting up, etc, helps people see that they can afford it to. Good onya.

I never want spearfishing to be perceived as an activity only the privileged and wealthy can afford. Shore diving is the purest form and always will be.

Your 100K subscribers have been well-earned. I have been watching you since I got into spearfishing, and you made an arcane, hard-to-decipher sport accessible for me. Since the first time I got into the water just for the love of being in the water, to bringing home food regularly (and responsibly), I owe much of where I am today because of you. Say hi, if you ever swing by the West Coast of Canada!

Freshwater smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing just opened here yesterday! It was raining, it was cold, and the visibility was barely longer than the length of my gun, but goodness it was fun! There are a lot of old school "rules" in the fish gathering and eating world that should be disregarded. Eating fish is like hunting fish - you don't know, if you don't go (and eat it).
@emknight844 жыл бұрын
You should give that European Sea Bass a nice French touch with a similar method of cooking but once its browned on one side you finish it off in a nice dill cream sauce on a bed a shallots. It goes great with our Striped Bass on the western side of the Atlantic.

I love your videos! I'm just starting to get intrested in spearfishing and I was wondering if you'd do a vid for absolute beginners, in most of your "beginner" videos you already use a lot of specific words which people who dont have a clue about spearfishing wont get. I'd imagine something like: How does spearfishing work, how long do you stay in the water in one session, what do you have to get sorted on a legal basis, what are the differences with spearfishing in lakes vs sea, what is the absolute minimum equipment, do you sell the fish, what is a bad gun what is a good one etc.
