Instead on using the pliers to seal the end of the melted bead. I use a old metal spoon to keep things rounded on the ends. It helps me to not have to file things down.

Homemade dyneema wishbones are less laborious, lighter and almost as practical as those. Best and easiest imo. Great vid as always though, thanks for sharing!
@DanielMann4 жыл бұрын
I did explain in the first minute of the video why dyneema inserts aren't as good as these. They bind up after being used on the gun a few times.
@MrG-nr6ne4 жыл бұрын
@@DanielMann yes they do but for the price l just cut off the couple of cm of dy wishbone and place another. I usually carry some spare dyneema on the buoy in case l have to change mid dive. Not ideal with gloves so beware

Very clean! This is much better than many of the commercially available ones I've seen out there. I personally don't like having anything hard inside my bands, especially in high stretch setups, but this is a great diy design!
@DanielMann4 жыл бұрын
Fair enough, I mostly use conventional style spearguns so it’s not a problem. I can see with a roller though you’d want to have the soft one inside.
@XhaleSpearfishing4 жыл бұрын
@@DanielMann Yep, rollers are what I had in mind in particular. Best to keep everything soft. I may be using your inserts for conventional bands for some customers though 😏
