ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZbin and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you strike a ball with an iron. If you are looking for how to hit a ball straight with an iron, or want to know how to hit the ball first with irons then these golf drills will give you much better golf ball contact so that you can strike your irons pure.
I believe they are the easiest and best golf irons drills you can use
Also get to see the golf ball contact in slow motion

Has to be Royal St George's or North Foreland Danny - a tour of Kent's finest maybe! Or a course management guide to park land courses, links golf etc. Seeing you take the theory and put it to the test on the course is mega helpful. As are the swing thoughts and the psychological insights. Keep up the great work 👍👍👍

Really enjoyed the explanations. Especially about making the shot more comfortable and smoother by taking 3 clubs up due to wind, uphill etc. instead of just thinking it’s 170 so hit 7 and ending up short!

Hi Danny - simply loved the video. I start off my round thinking about every shot - or at least that's the intention. Then I forget.. so I'm now mentally going to try and think before I hit a shot. Awesome video. Thanks jeannie

You weren’t particularly happy with your play in this round, but it’s illustrative of what we handicap golfers commonly go through… Swing’s not working, some lip-outs and unlucky bounces. So easy to lose your head. The real lesson here is you maintained your focus and continued to plan every shot. Minimized the damage as much as you could and avoided the big numbers. So difficult to do sometimes, but such a good reminder. Great video! 👍

Great to hear the thought process, particularly focussing on the next shot and not a previous bad shot. No matter how good the camera work, one can never get to appreciate the difficulty of a links course like this without being there. Variable and usually high winds, firm fairways with no ‘give’, and extreme rough which can be hard to get a firm footing on when standing on springy grass/gorse; it all adds to the difficulty and complexity of the course. I just ticked off Silloth-on-Solway with one of my best friends as we both had it on our bucket list. A constant 30 mph wind made it fun and memorable day. Keep up the on-course videos please!

Excellent very valuable video with many important ideas. It was interesting to see how Danny responded to a few disappointing shots. Average club players can learn a great deal from how to play the course & HOW TO RESPOND IF THE SHOT HAS A DISAPPOINTING OUTCOME. I hope you will do more videos like this. It should keep you busy for many years. It was great to see you did NOT edit the shots that did not go as planned. TV coverage of important competitions concentrate on mainly excellent shots. It gives a false impression as tour players do poor shots as well as club golfers. Many thanks to Danny & his team.

I’ll tell you this Danny my friend, your feel for distance with that putter is outstanding. The putter is a club that confidence in its feel is either there from the first time you tap a ball with it, or it never feels right for you. Know what I mean? I had this TaylorMade Monza Rossa Corso belly putter that I absolutely loved. Kept it for years and in that time tried a lot of different new introductions, but never got the feel of confidence in those first few taps. Recently I grabbed this bulky looking monster from the display wall (big ass Cobra Agera Palm Crew Edition because I liked the colors and never really liked the look of those huge putter heads). The first tap with that thing was like butter and absolutely ZERO hop off the face. Every tap after felt better and better. Over $400 later I had a new putter and I can’t wait to get it in my hands on the green. I’m now hitting better putts than ever and the feel of proper distance has been spot on. Now if they come out with reads the dang greens for me would be perfect, LMAO!!! ⛳️🤣⛳️

Great insight into the game. I've learned things similar. When you start doing bad in the game, it can get worse & worse, if you let it, like tunnel vision. Then you start zigzagging across the course & missing everything, it works against your strategy & focus & leaves you in a slump. What I've learned is you have to refocus, disregard the past few holes entirely as if they never happen & start fresh, feel the sun, pull you mind out of the tunnel, look at the view, pay more attention to your strategies & the sciences of your techniques, take some breaths, a step back & "enjoy the game." Don't dwell or focus too much on the bad holes or it can work like the law of attraction. "Think of it after the game is over", what you need to improve or work on, and make time to go practice.

I just noticed that you putt cross handed, I putt the same way!! I picked it up in the 90's when I started playing as a young teen. The best part of my game is my putting and I try to encourage people to try that grip because I really feel like it gives you a lot more control and consistency in your putting stroke.

Great work Danny. It helps a lot to understand why a better golfer plays the shot they do and how they process a shot that doesn’t do quite what they want

Really good that you are willing to put yourself out there, most instructors on KZbin would never risk this in case they could not perform. Its a lot harder to actually do it instead of just talking about it.

Lovely to see you out on the course and talking through the hazards that don't show up on the practice range such as ball placement, tough lies as well as the mental side of the game and understanding how you focus on your game as well as what your preparation for the swing is. Really enjoyed this - more like it!! And what a beautiful course as well!

I have watched this twice now Danny. And I’ll probably watch it again! Some excellent psychological hints and tips and it’s great to see your reaction when the long put goes in! That’s what keeps us all coming back. That one shot, that one crisp strike. Great commentary and good to see the transfer of drills/practice executed on the course.

Please sir, I want some more. Golf swing tip videos are helpful because we compete with our limitations when we play. Practice time helps that. But course management vlogs help with our other opponent on the course. Mainly, the course itself. Regardless of your skill level you can always improve your play by playing the course, and not letting the course play you. Thanks for a great example of what that looks like.

Hi Danny, I really enjoy this new video, I am really looking forward for you to play a course, give instructions, give us/me a piece of your mind in every shot/stroke and course management. Can I request if you may include comparing the result, around the green, between putting it or chipping it. I’m pretty sure it will help us/me a lot. I was writing this comment before I even finished the video so I will watch it again. Different golf courses demand different strategy, hope you may share to us/me some of your insights. I learned a lot. More videos and good luck, mate.

What a video Danny. I really enjoyed watching and listening to your thoughts about each shot and your attempts to control both your good and bad feelings. As a high handicap golfer it’s a rare chance to follow a pro around a course and benefit from their experience. Thanks for this.
