This is awesome! I just saw this video after seeing a link to plans online. I make miniatures for photos of squirrels and made a lighthouse for a diorama scene I have in mind. I had made my own plans but when I saw how similar yours were it saved a few steps. I used cover stock and Styrofoam because I am not a woodworker and mine won't live outdoors. Only long enough to get photos

hi , I hope you are doing fine/ i have a question for you, is there a correlation between the base size with the base top size / ?for example can each one of the 8 sides be 9 inches wide at the base and 7 at the top part of the base ..is this just a matter of taste?

the pattern is not perfect and has problem. I cut pieces but at the top windows at your pattern you don't write in slop for inner because if that cut in 0 degree, in back side the cut lines(inner and outer side) intersect together.
@danielmiskoidea6 жыл бұрын
majid gh I'm pretty sure that the patterns are fine. Remember that you can always wach the video, see what went wrong with your build.
@majidgh86826 жыл бұрын
OK. I found the problem. I have used 10mm MDF instead 6mm but I have sawed inner with 22 degree slop without problem. thank you for free pattern. and I have a question, do you draw the pattern with CAD (solidwork or catia or etc)?

The idea is great, but it is a shame about the execution... end product isn't polished enough. Plus superglue in woodworking is a cardinal sin I'm afraid.
@2563dicko6 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with super glue, it works and it's perfect for things like that, if you're going to create something you should use any means you see fit to achieve your goal, why limit yourself. And as far as polish, not all projects are about polish, a polished product has its place but there's nothing wrong with character either, and it's ok to finish your project to whatever level you want, his lighthouse is finished and he's happy with it, obviously from the comments the overwhelming majority of people are also happy with it, he can admire it and continue with something else. There are no rules when you set out to create something, it's a shame that you set limits and standards like that for other people's work.
