Not sure but maybe a reason why GM Danya’s opponents seem to play weaker than their rating is because they usually deal with responses to their inaccuracies that aren’t so challenging, such as auto-pilot book moves or moves following basic opening principles but not considering how to leverage a weakness. In contrast GM Danya explains the inaccuracy and responds accordingly.

Bro a 1500 tried a scholars mate and even Danya said he notices it too sometimes. Sometimes it's just that he gets weaker people in his videos. Not always obviously but I've seen a lot in these speed runs that are supposed to be like 1600 and play worse than my opponents at 600. It's why I've started playing the bots because I can beat the 1600 bots over but I can't beat people my level

The reason why the play "worse", is because every single move you do puts so much pressure on whoever you're playing against. If they don't maximize development they have to play on the back foot if they're a turn late getting their pieces out. It's just a matter of you knowing how to milk every molecule of value out of your pieces, while these sub-2000 opponents either attack, or defend, but they don't achieve 5 things like you do on every move.
@alexwangombe8534
@alexwangombe8534 Жыл бұрын
this is kinda like what hikaru says often during his disrespect speedruns, but with actual thought and logic behind it - basically says the reason his opponents play so poorly against him is that the speed, ferocity, and raw power behind his moves is too much for his opponents to handle and total collapse is usually quick to follow
@tommeyer3871
@tommeyer3871 Жыл бұрын
while the game was underwhelming for the level of your opponent, I think it's making up for some really strong opponents you encountered earlier on, because this kinda position is exactly the offbeat/wrong but often encountered kinda opening you find in 1000-1200 play. So still useful for players in that range I guess

e5 in positions like that is actually very common at low(ish) ratings. You see it more in the hyper accelerated version where white will play d4, cxd4 qxd4 trying to go after the rook on h8. This is so common players even try it in the english reverse sicilian with black. It's one of my favorite lines as there's a pretty good chance I can either win their queen or at least get a development lead right away.
@stoutlager6325

Regarding the e4 c5, Qh5 line, engine actually prefers e6 or Qc7 there instead of Nf6 at depth 40. It's a very narrow preference though. -0.4 vs -0.3 or something. Practically you should just choose whichever version you prefer the resulting position of. I played Nf6 for some time and came to dislike the amount of complications that arose later on with my suboptimal play. e6 is definitely easier to play if you can't be sure your following moves will be precise.
