I don't understand people disliking these videos... People make an effort to record and upload these video while you sit at home and watch them in comfort. So unthankful.

Maybe dislike because gujrathi have pass pawn but dubov still want to play.. move the piece n press the clock.. lol

Wouldn't surprise me if either of these two are contending for world championship in the future. I give very slight odds to Vidit for strategic brilliance, but could go either way

Be3 b1=Q 0-1 Of course it was itentional, LOL. 6...Qb6/7...Ne5 is an age old, well known line. According to my Leelafish (depth around 15), there is 7.e4 (preferred), 7.a3 and 7.Bg2. The oldest game in my database with 7.Bg2 is from 1972. After 7.Bg2 Leelafish attests white only a very modest disadvantage. Given that both are humans ,7.Bg2 is fully playable, even under tournament conditions. The game went smoothly, but10.e4?! was very dubious, according to Leelafish and with the very precise 10...Bd7! (only move) black got the upperhand and never looked back. So it appears Vidit surprised him with 9...d6, not the other way around.

@@t567698 That is computer talking. Dubov lost because he played into opponents preparation, Vidit replied 10... Bd7 by reflex, even though his king was still at least two moves away from castling. Then came 11...Rc8 another counter-intuitive preparation, instead of Be7 and 0-0. The biggest mistake in these blitz games is to believe you know an old sideline better than the opponent. Better believe in your chess abilities and create something unique and new, where neither you nor the opponent knows. That is where Magnus makes the difference.
@t5676985 жыл бұрын
@@naturae-studiosum Magnus Carlsen does not use the computer? This is just funny, nothing more. Quite to the contrary, he humbly acknowdleges that he has learned a lot from Alpha Zero. And this ability can make the difference. Dont believe me, google it.
@naturae-studiosum5 жыл бұрын
@@t567698 read my comment again, and hopefully, you'll understand. Never stated that Magnus, or any GM for that matter, doesn't use a computer to improve or understand dynamic imbalances etc. but learning a tricky sideline that requires exact play disregarding the fundamentals (develop, castle, don't move the same piece twice, don't develop your queen too early etc.) is a mistake. Vidit didn't even think before playing Bd7, Rc8 to building pressure with Black, totally undeveloped... He was playing out of memory. A quick tip: before being sarcastic, always make sure you are in the right otherwise you just seem foolish.
