It’s fairly safe to assume that it was recorded on a strat too, especially since it sounds like that thin bridge single coil of a strat. LP is thick and creamy. Strat has more attack and more twang. I'd choose the LP for blues and rock. If I were to just noodle around at home I'd go for strat. I usually set LPs at bridge pickup and strats at neck pickup.
