What is pathetic about being the only ones who dared put their foot down to both the Serbs and the UN top brass? There has been greater battles and greater victories in Danish history, the special thing about this one is that in contrast to everybody else the Danes; 1) insisted on bringing tanks to Bosnia against UN opposition, 2) Gave the UN top the finger when they were ambushed, 3) gave the Serbs an even bigger finger at the same time. Which no one else did.

Jeg besøgte Hærens garnisions museum i Allborg for 2 mdr siden, og der havde de én af de Leoparder der tog del i slaget. Der var nogle ridser efter panserværnsgranater.

@Nazgul100 It's not the danish flag, apart from the cross being in the center, it's also bordered by a blue line. You could easily mistake it for the flag though, I did that myself.

125 to 200 mm, maybe up to 250, depends on if it is a riffle or smooth barrel With the new SUPER gun, up to 300-400 mm

Dettlaff i cant answer the first question, but Leopard 1a5 has a 105mm gun, there is a Leopard 1a6 prototype which has a 120 mm gun and complete new armor and other equipment but it never saw action

Not A5, it is A3 or A4 : totally new turret. A5 is A1turret upgrade

They knocked out a huge Serb amodepot - it is believed that about 200 soldiers weere killed on the occasion.

I’ll never forget the Danish tank commander who was sent home from Yugoslavia in the 1990’s by the UN when the UN concluded he was “too aggressive in returning fire”. (I’ll never forget that phrase.) His platoon of white UN tanks was ambushed by Serbs, and the Danes destroyed all of the Serb tanks, suffering no losses on their part. I realized then that Danes were different than most Europeans.

These babies knocked out a Serbian artillery post and a hundred men, much to the chagrin of their UN superiors. Reportedly, the Serbs stopped shooting at Danish vehicles after that. Since then, Danish infantry don't party without their tanks. A Leopard can peacekeep the crap out of just about anything it can see, and in Helmand, the harrassing fire from Taleban stopped the moment one was rolled out.
