Osmel's prototypes that NO ONE except Latinos think women in 2024 should be like. Even Denmark sounded like an idiot, but at least she spoke English so she looked smarter. And she didn't look like a 40 year old like Mexico and Venezuela.

Miss Universe Slovakia this year, Petra Sivakova has kind dropped hints about her experience as well. she reposted an edit that featured her as well as a bunch of the girls who were expected to place, but unfortunately didn’t. long story short she thanked everyone for their support and talked about how she was never rude or mean to anyone (possibly hinting towards Miss Universe Dominican Republic) and talked about how she showed up to every rehearsal through tiredness and illness and also mentioned how she was never selected to go to ANY activity outside of the hotel as most of the girls weren’t. it was sometimes the same girls over and over again getting to go outside the hotel. Franceska Rustem, Miss Universe Albania this year, i’m assuming was also kinda dropping hints about some of the competition being sort of unfair just by her facial expressions from the top 30 to Victoria being crowned lmaoo and recently was sticking up for the girls who had stunning national costumes who could’ve possibly won. Chelsea had won the title making it the second consecutive win for Philippines another note: it makes more sense now how Italy Mora, Miss Universe Panama was disqualified for simply leaving the hotel just to grab personal belongings, since the organization was literally holding the women hostage inside the hotel…

Dani, FYI when MU Indonesia was still undecided so many people wanted some former Indo queens to be appointed. But when they finally announced Zetrix owned MUID, the nat director told that MUO DOES NOT ALLOWING appointment and that each countries have to hold a national pageant with minimun 15 contestant. This is wild to see other country could do that and even winning the pageant eventually. Talk about integrity! 😢

This is just my theory, i may be wrong. Miss Universe would have thought this year to have a "conventionally beautiful" representative amidst the entire drama. They somehow would have come across victoria idk through connections or what and may have informally asked the miss univ denmark organisation to send her. Also, dani, do you know Miss World invited Stephanie and Vanessa to judge and Tonni Ann to perform during finale, Endemolshine overruled the decision and didn't let them judge and brought thier own judges and didn't allow tonni ann to perform. About the eligibility rules, I can think of one key example of a previous similar situation. In 2022, MU Colombia appointed Maria Aristizabal as their representative. However, she had not competed in MU Colombia in 2021 or 2020 (year of creation). Maria had won Señorita Colombia in 2020, a different pageant that lost the MU franchise with Maria as the current winner. She obviously couldn't represent her country at MU 2020, so the new organization gave her a chance in 2022, but she had never competed in the new pageant. It is kind of different because of the license issues but it shows that Victoria was not the first delegate to go through an unorthodox selection process

Maria won her national pageant, due to licensing she got delayed in her representation of Colombia at MU. In Victoria's case, she's never won her national pageant.

Knowing what had occurred earlier, all of the Miss USA contestants should have had an attorney on hand in the event they were the winner. Now, as far as this thing with Raul going everywhere with Victoria, is so he can keep her on a very short leash and I think it's because people's suspicions are correct, that it was planned in advance that Victoria would win Miss Universe (I've been hearing this for a while now) and unfortunately, Victoria knew of this plan, so now Raul is traveling with her everywhere to make sure she doesn't slip up and let the cat out of the bag about the plot. This is a very plausible reason for Raul to be traveling constantly with Victoria, especially when she would already have an official chaperone. who most likely wouldn't be aware of the plot. I think this is what has happened.

Miss Universe Venezuela 2021 was actually 3RU at Miss Venezuela 2020. I guess what makes sense about it is that like Miss France, Miss Venezuela's timelines can be conflicting with MU. It wouldn't have made sense to send like the 1RU because MU would have already begun before she flew! TBH, I am starting to DISLIKE Victoria. I know it's not her fault when Anne said evolution and stuff, but I'm starting to have the impression she isn't "squeezed in between". In the words of Miss NY USA 2022 my girl Heather who finally got her redemption at Cosmo, "if you aren't speaking, you are complicit" well if you tuned in the R'Bonney controversy you know!

With Miss France, it is in the winner's contract that they have to be there to crown their successor. In Maeva's case in 2018, the finals of Miss France 2019 was held the same weekend as the Miss Universe 2018 finals which is why she went to Miss World that year instead. She went to Miss Universe 2019 when her successor, Vaimalama Chaves, declined to compete internationally, sending her runner-up Ophély Mezino to Miss World. Also, it's not uncommon in Miss France for titleholders to swap competition years in order to fulfill their titleholder contracts (ie: Flora and Camille switching MU years in 2014 and 2015, same as Clémence and Amandine in 2020 and 2021)

This all makes me so sad. I started watching in 2015 with Pia as a fellow Filipina and my love for pageantry GREW even more after Catriona obviously. Since 2018 I would watch national titles so I wasn’t biased going into MUO. And these past two years have just been so disappointing especially this year. I’ve had this on my throat for long so I’ll just say ittt I found it very weird that the crowd was so cheerful to miss Denmark although the girl was doing NEARLY everything wrong at the beginning I was like omds it’s good everyone is cheering her on ( go Europe) but after her Q&A rounds that only kept getting worser but the crowd only got louder it was just weird for me she was get the same cheers miss Mexico was getting but Mexico is the host. ( I think people were encouraged to speak positively about her and to cheer her on EXTRA LOUDLY) I remember after the prelims a Telemundo journalist was interviewing people walking out the show asking them who stood out to u and everyone was say Denmark, Denmark) obviously they edited that or at least posted the cuts they wised to push forward. It's actually really unbelievably confusing. We thought that natasha would have won and atleast place in her year, she was an international favourite. But then the rumourmil mentioned that the MU CEO didn't like runners up at the pageant, and so that is why she maybe did not place. The whole situation hit her really badly and her mental health took a nose dive. And now, someone meeting that exact description, which the CEO mentioned not being fond of, wins 😮. Make it make sense. Also, don't you find it strange how the CEO answered after being asked about pageant evolution. The CEO said something about "we have blonde hair and blue eyes, what more evolution do you need". I hope the new queen didn't pick up on that jab. 😢

I remember some countries appoint their contestants instead of doing a show. ABOUT Victoria, since she was a contestant in 2021, I believe the local directors did eye on her as their rep for this year at Miss U even prior to the local pageant, thus- choosing her as a judge. We just have yo wait and see what happens to this year's winner.

I think we need to understand these events in context. Miss Universe was last bought for $20M. At that valuation, the owners likely expect it to generate $1M to $2M in annual revenue pear year going forward... that is less than an average McDonalds restaurant! It's unlikely they can afford more than a few fulltime staff. They have no real capacity to govern a global franchise network properly, and are at the mercy of their owners in most regards. Not to mention that the most common kind of owner of these pageants is a millionaire looking for a cheap way to control beautiful women... Meanwhile, they retain a fandom 5000x their size, who expect the equivalent of less than one McDonalds to still produce a fantastic, prestigious experience for the contestants and winners. The expectations of the fandom and the reality of the situation are so far apart that it's hard to avoid disappointment.

Actually, Vietnam did send 1st runner-up to MU not in the same year she competed nationally (eg: MUV2016 was actually 1st runner up at 2015 MUV, and MUV2019 was 1st runner-up at MUV2017 and MUV2021 was 1st runner-up at MUV2020), but that was just because MUV was held every two years (with occasional delays) so it's often assumed that the Winner would compete in the same year she's crowned and the 1st runner-up would compete the next year, not like the case of Victoria that you pointed out. So yeah, it's quite uncanny.

2 thirds of the top 30 should not have made it into the top 20 and Denmark was dang lucky that Raul had the hots for her. Any other year she would be clapping in the back with the other blondes.
