Could maybe explain what the game mechanics are here, why does going over command limit reduce your ships stats? What is the real life equivalent for that, doesn’t make any sense. I mean the fact that he had no screens does make sense, but being over command limit, what?

​@@010falcon its moreso for balancing reasons BUT just imagine one admiral having to manage like a thousand ships, no matter how good they are that would never work out well sooo the ships are less effective, tactical autonomy doctrines mitigate that but theyre not exactly favored by militaries and dont solve the problem, also just imagine a thousand ships all trying to fight the same 30 ship fleet. They couldnt all even be close enough to hit the enemy ships let alone be effective

EDIT: in all seriousness tho that navy situation is so stupid, how can a docked fleet affect the fleet thats out engaging in the pacific, its one of the many reasons i cant get back into hoi4, the bugs and grimey things that can happen just ruin the game especially when you have to try to explain urself to a bunch of toxic men that just yell at you for game issues like lmao AND WHY TF DID THEY GIVE JAPAN A %200 PORT BOMBING ON TORA TORA THATS SO STUPID AND UNBALANCED

It was meant to be like oh Pearl Harbor and stuff… not realizing what happened at Pearl Harbor only occurred because of a complete lapse in both intelligence and preparedness by the US and their were a number of early warnings the day of the attack (such as the first flight of Japanese fighter’s being picked up by radar and were mistaken for a retuning flight of B-17s) so yeah it would be fine to have the US be more vulnerable to port strike at the beginning of the war but that bonus is broken on that point every thing else is fine.

@@PIRATE99A yeah… that’s what’s he’s complaining about that College (maker of the mod for the Bokeon games) has had to make a lot of updates to the mod with the new DLC and they’re are some serious balancing issues because of the updates one of those being Tora now having stupidly huge buff to port strike for carrier based aircraft. He’s complaining about the mod and the lack of balance combined with long standing bugs in the base game that haven’t been fixed by Paradox have a direct impact on a “competitive” multiplayer game.
