One thing that hasn't got mentioned in detail is the effect of the wind on comb filtering. How does the wind affect the sound? Is the wind vector simply added to the sound vector? People keep saying "oh line arrays sound bad in the wind at long distances". Why is this? (I have heard a line array sound bad in the wind but it was because the whole column of speakers was only secured by a single cable at the top and could swing around in the breeze!) Also what about temperature differences? I'm assuming this bends the sound wave.
