Here’s how: 1. Study your competitors inside out. Your competition is not just from the same business, but other businesses too 2. Focus on how you can add value to your customer 3. Think long term, not short term. “I could wait 10 years to win this war” mindset can alter the way you think to last longer in this game 4. Bonus: why not profit from the competition? Partner up or collaboration?

I run a very small mowing business, so obviously, I have a lottttttt of competition. Best thing I can say is if you’re going to do something a lot of people are doing all you can do is try to do it better than everybody else. Customers will go with you rather than them because you do it better.

Hey Mr Dan. I have been watching you for over a month now and in all honesty, watching you has been life changing on so many levels. In many videos you speak about how many mistakes you used to make but when I look at you and watch your videos I get the sense that you are actually a kind person and a very genuine person it is almost tangible even on camera. Thanks for being honest always.

One more thing I can add: "Avoid What is STRONG and Strike at What is weak" - Art of War Lets say you Compete with Walmart. What Walmart is strong at? low Price right? Avoid Competing at price! Compete at something Walmart is weak at. like they use under paid workers for long hours or compete at High Quality.
@andjelkovicjasmin29544 жыл бұрын
I agree, but if you never challenge stronger/better competetors you'll never improve enogh to become the best at what you do, never! "Challenge the stronger ones if you wanna belong to the strongest ones"

its actually a lot stronger to tackle the strongest assests in a biz, because then the total percieved value decreases and customers have a worse outlook on the brand

The main reason that competition is good is that it keeps everyone on their toes. Most of us are willing to admit that if we have the option to be lazy, we’re likely to be at least a little bit lazy. With no competition, our mindset very quickly becomes that the business owns the customers, and they have no place else to go. Most of us remember what taxi companies were like before Uber and Lyft came along now taxi services are offering a new experience.

Such awesome insights, thank you. I apply these same learnings to anything -- whether its growing a KZbin channel or its a hobby or its etc. Know everything about them and their customers.. And then use that knowledge and internal drive to add even more value to your customers and potential customers. Thinking long term applies to any long term goals you have.. Investing is a key focus of mine (in quality dividend companies), and the people who have the right longterm mindset are who have the best odds of success.

💥The best way to deal with competition and be better than them is do what they are most afraid to do. How do you know what they are afraid of? Answer: Exactly what you are afraid to do. You have been taught to copy from your competition. You spend a lot of time learning your competition that you become them, you are afraid to try what they haven't tried yet. Here is what you do, spend time unlearning them,you will become your own stronger self, you will go where they haven't yet gone and they will start to learn from you. Thats how you defeat the GIANTS in the market.

I'm starting a helmet business with 30 pcs. only. I know the industry well, my being as a motorcycle enthusiast helped me to make a business. I only had my house as an depot and some customers come and buy. But I am too worried because I have a competitor that is well established, have all the resources, and faster than me. What would I do to be in still with the right track of business?
