Danmakufu - Brain of the Moon v1.1 (Update)

Surprise, I'm back!... Sorta?
So while watching CreepyNinja's playthrough of my old Eirin script the other day, I was reminded of the parts of it that have always been bothering me but I never got around to changing. With my new experience, I decided to go back and rework parts of the script to make it as strong as possible. That said, most of the script is still the same, but I did make a number of smaller tweaks here and there for balance purposes.
I don't plan on making a habit of this -- both for lack of time, and because I don't wanna go and "George Lucas" all my old scripts. I'm pretty satisfied with most of my end products anyway. This Eirin script, however, held a special place in my heart as being one of the strongest "serious" scripts I believe I've made. There were just a few parts of it that have really been bugging me as holding it back from being "great". And so with the sudden flash of inspiration I got, I went and did some reworks! And thankfully, I was able to do so fairly quickly as well.

Working on this rework reminded me how much I love Danmakufu scripting and reignited my drive to finish up one of the last projects I had started working on before my life got too busy. It's gonna be tough to balance scripting with my studies, though, so I can't make any promises on when it'll be finished, if ever. But if you're stilll sticking with me after all this time, I thank you for enjoying my work :3

Y e s Really nice improvement I must admit, and welcome back to scripting, even if just for a while! I really wonder what to do now after I played it. Maybe if I linked back to updated version, it'd be fine right? Or shall I do a Re: of script? ^^ Yet... Pre-last spell's star explosion would stay intact. Somehow, I loved this one, now it isn't as "bangy" now. Yet, still not bad!

I wanted to make the bullets from the "big crunch" explosion persist into the next wave so they'd give you something extra to dodge, but just about every bullet type I tried proved to be too distracting or would obscure the star bullets, making it kind of unfair. Lasers wound up being the best middle-ground, as they wouldn't be too visually distracting but still gave you a challenge in subsequent waves.

This was a pleasant surprise to see! It'll take a bit for the new changes to feel right, heh. I'm in total agreement on that last Eirin non. Both beautiful and feels awesome to dodge.

Whoa. I was wandering if you were up to anything during the current situations... never expected you to remake an old script! There's definitely some improvements here, Induced Apoptosis seems less random and Tunguska Impact has less chance of blindsiding the player. Not a fan of the choice of secondary bullets in The Big Bang and Big Crunch, though they do flow with the pattern better than the aimed orbs (I'd recommend making those bullets smaller, slower or both). Also while I do miss stuff like Saturn firing bullets from its rings in Children of Amaterasu, the pattern's definitely improved as it's a lot less chaotic than before. The whole thing of solar system danmaku still blows me away... Overall, good work!
