I’d love to see a Rose Anvil cross section of the K6 vs the Danner.

These were the boots to have when I was a teen in the 70's. I've been looking for them to come back! Get them with the red laces to complete the 70's look! 😁

Thanks for your review!! I live and work outdoors so I put a ton of wear on my boots. I was going to buy the Danners but after your review I jumped on a pair of the Eddies. Much better price point!

I have a pair of Danner Mountain Light II's which I love and got a pair of these K-6's when they were on sale for $150. Probably the best boot for the money at that price point.

This boot is used for different company's same boot different names. Merrell is one look them up on sale for 143$ instead of 400$

I have the EB K-6 and they are indeed comfortable. The insole is just insane. The only thing I wish was slightly different is the tongue. The top of the tongue is even with the top of the boot. So, there’s not a lot of tongue for the laces to cinch against. It could be just slightly longer at the top. Otherwise, they are comfy. They break in fairly quickly. I am a size 12, but in an Adidas or Nike tennis shoe, I wear a size 13. So, I ordered these in a 13 at the behest of a friend. They fit perfectly. No hot spots. I also put leather laces in them. 😉👍

That is awesome!! I'm glad you were able to the perfect size for you, I been wearing the Danners since I got them around late October, I'd say they're about broken in I like them for working the job I have which i'm a rural package delivery driver so I encounter a lot of different types of terrain and I been happy! I'd say these Eddie Bauers are a great boot to try out before spending big bucks on a boot with thicker materials that will last several years. I know exactly what you mean about the tongue being a little bit longer but it still hasn't been a issue. I appreciate you leaving your comment and stopping by =)

Thanks for stopping by Phil, yes it is and they also have a service where they will put all new inner liners and soles also or you can get a variety of different services, some boots you can upgrade the inner liners depending upon the region you live in.

I don’t think you have to have the actually outsole stitched for it to be Goodyear welt , I bet if you pull off those soles there’s another layer there that it’s glued to that is the Goodyear welt.
@deansmits0064 жыл бұрын
That is correct. Still recraftable, which is the most important! Not a bad boot

I just picked these Eddie Bauer’s half off for $110. I’ve never owned a decent pair of boots, so these are nice! They’re a little lighter than I would like, but looks like yours built up a patina over the year, so I’ll look forward to that. How often do you/did you condition yours? Maybe if I do that frequently they’ll darken quicker.
@quickXkid3 жыл бұрын
I hate to be “that guy” but those are not goodyear welted, they have a stitch down construction where the upper is the welts and it is stitched to the midsole. Also, do you feel that it 1 inch heel is better for the back but no heel? I feel like the less heel the better for posture and that the heel is only there for work reasons, grip etc.
@Toyotas_n__Tools3 жыл бұрын
I have a REALLY bad back and when I wear a pair of shoes the flatter they are the worse I feel my back, where as I wear something with even a little bit of a heel it helps immensely. I will have more boot videos coming very soon! Thanks for stopping by!

Depends what your work is. These are obviously meant for hiking, but can work for work. If it’s heavy construction where heavy materials can fall on you, you’ll need steel toe. Other than that, these are pretty tough.

I know what you mean if they're used under more extreme or strenious conditions that will likely to happen, after wearing my Danner mountain lights for 2 months everyday to work, I believe they are a better product.. I still really like the K6 and the cost isn't too bad .
