Thanks for this story, I am from the Netherlands and I went to Graceland in 1987. It looked like Elvis was still living there, everything was looking fine. I loved that journey. And now I knew a little bit more about Elvis. The more I hear the stories the more I like him. Thanks again for the great stories and hope you get more discribers. I tried my best to wat h the Lighting of Graceland last night. But had to turn it off. It made me so sick not to see not 1 real family member of Elvis there. Loved the video!!!! QUESTION: Danny, if you could go back in time and change 2 decisions Elvis made, what would they be??? What decisions would YOU change that he made, in other words, what 2 decisions in your opinion if he did different would've been better for Elvis. Ex. 1. Taking control of his movie deals after he got out of the service and not just doing what the Col. told him to do, 2. Agreeing to do 1 show a night instead of 2 shows a night for 4 weeks in Vegas. 3. Saving 1/4 to 1/2 of his money so he would be making money off the interest later on and then he could perform only when he wanted to. 4. Listened to his family and friends about taking too much stuff and got it under control. These are just some examples, I was just wondering what decisions he made makes you ask yourself why did he do that. I know I have some decisions I wished he would've done different. This is a heavy question and I will surely understand if you don't answer it but it's a question that I believe all of us True Elvis fans ask ourselves. I know I say to myself daily what if Elvis would've done this or that and I am curious if you do the same thing!!!!! Thnkx Y'all Take Care

I agree I loved him in those more Serious roles.Westerns. He would have liked to do more like them, he had the potential to branch out into different roles. Just the Colonel & Studio kept him doing the same formula movies that made $. I guess they thought that's what the Fans wanted. But I personally as a lifelong Fan liked seeing him in Flamimg Star & Charro...just showed he could do "Serious" non singing roles too! He was multi-talented.

Elvis was pure sex appeal.. And the Charro beard made him 100 times more so. I don't know why anyone would want to go upstairs, honestly. Anyway, I think Elvis would be thrilled to have people in his home. What I think he wouldn't agree with, are the prices they charge. Elvis was the most generous human being. He wanted to help people, and I've read that he always wanted his concerts to be affordable to everyone. So, I honestly think he would detest the prices to get the whole Graceland experience. I understand that it takes a lot of money to keep it going. But, I don't think it should be as pricey as it is.

@TerriZezza His glaucoma was diagnosed in early spring 1971 and he always had daily medication from that point on. But he was still drinking caffeinated beverages like coffee and Pepsi all day long. And also the uppers he had become addicted to (because he felt he could not function without sleeping and needed barbiturates to sleep)and then coffee and uppers to wake up. Any kind of stimulant causes more pressure on the optic nerve and damages it. When my grandmother was diagnosed with glaucoma, she quit coffee cold turkey. When my mother was diagnosed with glaucoma, she used the prescribed eye drops but refused to give up Coca Cola and Hershey bars, both of which have a lot of caffeine. So her glaucoma was much harder to control.

Hello Memphis Mafia Kids and Theresa. How are y'all doing. I have a question for ya. Don't know if it have been asked before, but I think it's interesting to know what Elvis would be like. Knowing he hated the bad talk about him, like the one time he talked about the strung out part in a show.
