Thought I’d drop a comment and let you know I’ve used your site for a few pieces. Really love the composition and recently performed this at my late father’s funeral. Dad was a fierce “paddy” who’s family migrated from Ireland to Manchester England, he could never listen to any iteration of Danny Boy without tearing up as it sung to his heart and reminded him of his own father. I always said I’d learn the song for him and unfortunately he never got to see me perform the song, probably for the best as it would have ripped his heart out. He owned an original 1970’s(ish) EKO acoustic that I restrung, varnished and brought back to health. I performed your rendition of this song (with a few of my own amendments toward the end of the song). Not a dry eye that day. Thankyou not only for your amazing work but for giving me something I could pick up in the short space between passing and the funeral. RIP Dad x
