I wouldn't say they're analogous. Andrade was moving up 1 division but was inactive, Inoue was the one moving up to fight Fulton and only in hindsight was it a demo job, Crawford would have to move up 3 divisions to do so.

Jacobs gave GGG a great fight, he had a good plan, stood his ground, punched hard. Then he fought Canelo and it wasnt even close, Canelo outclassed him. But GGG fought Canelo and arguably won that first fight, it was scored a draw but that was quite controversial. It is a typical display of "styles make fights" and it is possible for Crawford, with his style and skill, to win this fight, but it could also be a masterclass by Canelo since he is very skilled as well. We will know when it happens.

Like I went over in another comment, Canelo's trademark when he gets his offense going is making fighters reluctant to let their hands go and that includes bigger fighters that have never been gun shy like Jacobs. As far as GGG, Canelo showed him more respect than he needed to in the first fight and was stylistically more of a backfoot counter puncher then, but for the rematch came out aggressive and had even a beast like GGG backing up and mostly jabbing instead of committing to his power like usual. Canelo's fight with Jacobs was after he already had the experience of those GGG fights. Anyway, Canelo makes even bigger iron chinned fighters think twice, but people are banking on a welterweight jumping 20lbs? Bud doesn't get that respect even from the washed fighters and gatekeepers he's been mostly fighting at welterweight. He'll light them up and they'll still come forward swinging. And Bud getting dropped by a welterweight gatekeeper a few fights ago isn't a good sign.
