Danny Nykoluk Day, Oct. 31, 1970

Danny Nykoluk had his jersey number, 60, retired by the Toronto Argonauts at the end of the 1970 season after he played 15 seasons with the CFL club. He was honoured at halftime of the Argos' final regular-season game that year. (Nykoluk was called out of retirement to play one additional game the following season.)

He came out of retirement for the last game of the 1971 season after John Trainor was injured. Nykoluk also played in both games of the Eastern Finals and the Grey Cup, which was the only time the Argonauts made it to the biggest game during his career. He then retired for good.

It would be nice to see the video of the entire game, which ended a few careers.
