Great review! Once again like the ultimate enemy this episode gives an example of the butterfly effect that one small act can cause damage to the Future. I enjoyed seeing clockwork again and a look into Jack and Maddie's past. The episode also shows Vlad's reasons for being evil don't excuse his actions since alternate Jack went through the same issue of gaining ghost powers and losing the love of his life but he didn't become like Vlad especially since Vlad was also possessive of Maddie from day one even though it was clear she liked Jack. I also love how alternate Jack being afraid to face Maddie as a ghost sort of parallels Danny not wanting to tell Valerie he was the ghost she despises. I think Danny realizing he's like his parents is another reason he decided to join them dancing along with coming to terms with their past.

Besides the lesson that you can't change the past because it will affect the future another lesson in this can be that you should never have food and drink in a lab area as the ecto acne incident wouldn't have happened if Jack didn't have soda there.

Since Jack thinks the name Danny is dumb and he named his cat Jasmine and the alternate future I guess that shows which parent came up with the name for the respective kid especially since jazz is a daddy's girl and Danny a Mama's boy.

I found it strange for as much as Vlad desires to have Danny for a son/apprentice he and Maddie didn't have children in the alternate future but I think the writers decided not to add any offspring because Danny would have ended up erasing his half siblings from existence when he fixed everything in the end. Also since Maddie still had feelings for Jack and was miserable in her marriage to Vlad she probably only married him out of gratitude or obligation for saving her life.

Captain yeet I never understood why Danny and his friends are still on negative terms with vlad despite him being sympathetic in the ultimate enemy even though it was a different version of him and Danny was the only that met him but after almost getting Sam and Tucker killed he and team phantom are definitely back to square one.

@tamyasaunders7689 Yeah, danny would be the only one that would know about good vlad, but it's a little wild that it would take everyone dying for him to go good
