Danny, subdued but feisty later on!

We had a short walk with Danny today. We have had many days of rain which means we cannot walk with Danny as much as we would want to. This was a bonus.

I suppose that is why cats get tired so easily and have to stop a lot as there is so much for them to process - especially when they’re in unfamiliar territory and they have to stop and think about all the information coming into their senses and decide how dangerous it is and then decide if it’s interesting to them or not. We take so much for granted as humans. My goodness he has a lovely purr

My ragdoll teddy howls at night like a wolf untill i open my daughters door. He then takes one look and runs off . Very comical. He likes to know she's still in the flat . When he was on his own he didn't bother howling but now he's got ragdoll mulberry as his play pal he goes nuts . Lol 😂. Good evening to you guys 😘

It's a game he used to play in the living room when he was younger - we would have to create a tunnel for him and he would sit in there, his paw darting out if you went close to the entrance 😹

Three uninformed, but feasible, even enlightening scenarios interpreting Danny Cat Young's video of 14 November 2023, "Danny, Subdued But Feisty Later On!": 1.) Danny Cat, having recently learned of an investigation of a fictitious but heinous crime, finds himself following leads during his otherwise innocuous walk after far too rainy days. He encounters a plethora of new clues. 2.) Danny Cat, though outside in fresh air now, carries a temporary but bitter grudge against his Holy Other, the supreme source of power, for being housebound while subjected to day after day of wet, soggy weather. As with other mammals, Danny honestly has no idea who, what, or why is this supreme source of power. The brilliant cat, seeking solace, peace and solitude in Nature, finds no choice but to stare aloofly at the omnipresent little machine his human holds near Danny as the human follows the cat's every step. The modest cat acknowledges that, while he has no firm grip on an elusive, esoteric god, Danny has total mastery over his humans. On this occasion, Danny blames the long, soggy delays of his walk directly on his human. Or, at least, pretends too. 3.) And according to felinologists over the eons, Danny is a long-awaited, world renown, deep dive philosopher with additional studies in psychology and sociology. He neither adds to the confusion of his humans by hanging his many doctoral degrees on his office wall nor hints to his humans that he has an office. Yet, Danny practices his expertise outdoors in conditions that disorient his academic peers: Danny practices in the clean slate and air of Earth washed clean by rain, when no auras, no prints, no dropped articles on the ground remain to distract his train of thought. In conclusion, Danny provides another set of behaviors, evidence perceivable by his humans, that cats are All, Brilliant, Supreme. I bow to Danny's benevolent reign.

And yes, there have been far too many days stuck indoors for Danny recently, and I would bet that he does indeed blame us for the weather. Why is this channel called "Danny Cat Young"? The first two words I understand (although I would have expected "Danny _the_ Cat" or "Danny: a Cat"), but why the "Young"?

I think it's probably his surname ie the last name of his human friends.

Well, it is because his surname is Young, but also because he was known affectionately by our previous neighbour's children as Danny Cat, which sort of stuck with us as being cute (because Danny is a human name) :)

We named Danny when we adopted him as a kitten. Daniel after Daniel Craig, which became Danny. The neighbour’s children just added the ‘cat’ when referring to him, probably because they knew a Danny human I guess 😀 we thought it was cute so used it here with his surname.
