That opening scene really set the bleak and dark tone for this movie!! And that song is so haunting!! It makes me feel like I've arrived at a wedding where all the guests, groom and bride have been cut down by gunfire, the groom dead in his would be bride's arms...

Watching this scene again after Sands's plan was the president being killed in the assassination attempt and El ended up saving his life. Here, when El spat out the Pibil, he was trying to save the cook's life from Sands. Clever.
