This video inspired me to keep skating in 2003. I went full on hardcore till 2011 after having started in 1985. I still take my board to San Diego on vacation and roll around. Still got my pressure and nollie flips on lock after all these years :)

I'm same age as DW. He was one of the first who could do vert, but also do street. Back in late 80s into early 90s, many sic vert skaters fell by wayside as street took over. Certain ramp skaters survived because they were adaptable, and just too good

I was 8 years old when this came out, first skate video I ever got, I remember getting to this part and my jaw hitting the floor. I'm still shocked and awed by this. Legendary

Dude! My story is damn near the exactly same! I believe this came out - June of 2003. Pops had it ready for my ninth birthday at the beginning of July. If I can recall(damn I'm getting old) this was promoted/advertised on the Winter X Games prior to its release. Simpler times. Opening this was a great feeling as a youngin. My pops and I watched it instantly. I recall the look on my dad's face when this part came to an end. You would have thought he had just landed on Neptune. Could not believe what we had just witnessed go down on a skateboard!!! Wish I could put a number on how many time I watched it during the summer of 03. Anyhow, legendary video to this day. Groundbreaking riding, incredible soundtrack, and a little sneak peak into Rob & Big!! A little crazy I'm respnding to a 10 year old message. Man oh man, that Ferris Buler quote about time hits harder the older you get. "...If you don't stop and look around once in a while..." If this find you, I hope time is treating you well!

Only now I understand how mind blowing this part is. As a kid I just couldn't relate to vert/mega ramp skating. Danny Way is one of a kind. Up there with Tony,Gonz,Natas,Mullen and all other top legends in skate industry.

This brings me back to being 10 years old, I watched the DC video like every day. This was the last part and it always got me so pumped to go out and skate. Great memories. I got the video shortly after it came out maybe in 04. 17 years later this part stands the test of time.

It feels so damn good to watch this part again! The crazy level of tech and power on vert, gnarly ass street skating (that switch frontside flip into the bank blew my mind when I first saw it), the frickin megaramp, the lift on top of the huge halfpipe (I still have that 5-0 Transworld cover on my wall), kickflip nosegrinding the deep and of a pool with no pads, etc. etc. all topped with Suicidal and Metallica make for such a perfect part.

I remember the promo for this movie. It had the mega ramp in there for a bit. When finally watching it, you knew it was coming. Then...the fade to intro 5:07...Inside, you knew it was time. Watching the DC Video for the first time back then was an experience. Kalis part for me set the tone.

Who cares who is better?! What does it matter? Look at what each of them have done for skateboarding. They have each brought it to a new level. Tony has been around for a long time and made a great career for himself. He's invented numerous tricks and done lots for skating and charities. Danny has taken street tricks to the ramp and done things no one has ever thought of, let alone try. Who's better? It doesn't matter. They are both legends and we're lucky to have them in our world.

@sk84lifenick1 because when this all happened danny was the only person even attempting to do this. everything he did on the mega ramp was the first time it had been done. no one else did a 720 across a mega ramp until jake brown in 2007 and no one did them consistently until a year later. that 720 caused many, many people to shit their pants when they saw it because at the time it was just impossible to imagine. this is truly one of the best skate video parts ever
