12 years ago I startet riding trials because of watching Dannys April2009 Video. Now I am 41, father of two kids and I still ride.

Nice to see my home town in a good light. 😀 Danny just to let you know, at that exact spot where you broke the chain, I attended a patient who jumped over that very wall while running away from the police. He got stretchered back up by the Coastguard with a broken ankle, just as the tide was lapping their legs. Plod just patiently waited at the top. And also down at Starr Gate, when you jumped off the sea wall onto the beach, you rode over the Undersea Internet Cable from the USA the north of Europe. It only came ashore in October 2020. Just think if you managed to bust the Internet and an ancient rusty chain, Blackpool council would be looking for you. 🤣

I love the slick final edited 'perfect' sequence of tricks videos, but these show just a little of what went into making that final 'it looks so easy' cut! There's a lesson here for us all. Thanks guys.

After watching the final cut a few weeks ago, I wandered on over to a unicycle video where a guy rides unicycle on a slack line and then jumps & turns 90 degrees onto another slack line and rides that one. True insanity. All of ya! Masters. Geniuses. Wizards! Thank you so much for sharing the behind the scenes where we learn that these two are ALMOST human! "Getting old?" Oh shut up!

Riding in my childhood (almost) backyard and what a place for urban trials.. Those chains are seaside iconic, especially the No Access signs when the sea is raging behind. Great job on riding one they're really manky with green slime in the lower promenade.

Showed my 7 year old daughter a few of your videos this week and she believes you are unstoppable and is constantly asking things like: "Can Danny ride straight up that lampost?" "Can Danny ride on top of giant bramble bush?" "Can Danny cycle along a rope?" "Can Danny cycle along a zip line?". She has a child's faith that you can do absolutely anything on a bike. And after seeing that chain ride, who am I to burst her bubble.

I'm trying to learn how to ride backwards. I can barely pushbike (no feet) backwards 10 feet. Seeing these guys landing backwards then doing a trick going backwards - can't imagine the time it takes to get that good. And that's just one trick/skill. Although I did figure even Danny would have to do a lot of takes to nail that chain ride! Mad props!
@dudeonbike8003 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure the trick is consistency. Don't practice a TON on one day and then skip a bunch of days. Instead, practice a moderate amount every day and you'll see improvement. You brain works on stuff when you're not even thinking about it, especially when you sleep - and get enough of that. Incremental advancement comes, but with regular practice. I'm pretty sure this is why people practice a musical instrument 30 or 60 minutes every day instead of 4-6 hours once a week.
