This came at a weirdly good time. I'm 36 and just starting to rebuild myself from a broken 15 year old boy. I've suffered with crippling lack of self esteem all my life. I'm only just realising, after his latest attack half a year ago, that my father is the source of it all. I've cut the relationship off and, although my life is falling apart in ways, I've never felt more content with myself. I've reached a point where I know I didn't deserve to be belittled and insulted, manipulated and lied about, because of a disagreement where I wasn't actually wrong, factually nor ethically. I deserve to be happy, and loved. And after 20 years of deep self loathing, I finally respect myself. Seriously related to this conversation. I am financially "broke" but I know it will change. And if it doesn't I can at least die at peace with myself ✌🏻❤️

I can agree with a lot of this EXCEPT what you’re saying about relationships. Life is a mirror reflecting how you feel about YOURSELF. The only person we can ever change is ourself and we need to stop expecting others to give us anything. When we go within and do the work and give ourself what we are trying to get from others and things. Then people will show up different reflecting our new inner being. Stop blaming others and labeling them! They can only show up reflecting or how you are assuming they will. Every time you blame someone or something outside of you, you’re a victim and you cannot be a victim and creator at the same time! That advice you gave the husband and wife really bothered me.

That’s why we tune in - to actually hear what the guest is saying. If you can watch this interview again, you’ll see you’ve interrupted this guest so many times. I agree I really want to hear what this guy has to say …he started off strong , I was so intrigued that he found that master shaman to learn from … amd than he cuts him off , makes him repeat basic things he already said and threw off the momentum of what was starting off to me so fascinating… I don’t want to hear the interviewer’s life issues … I want to hear the person who is being interviewed. I love when the rare podcaster doesn’t interrupt with their own personal experiences…
