This is actually a Chiu Chow dish that's been modified in Malaysia and Singapore. Needless to say, most of the original Chinese immigrants into Singapore/Malaysia were from Chiu Chow

It's pork lard, the crispy bits. Penang Char Keow Teow is one of the quintessential of Penang Street Food. You can order without chilli sauce and get the full favours. It is a must tried anywhere you can find it.

Lot's of good food places on the strip. However, the quantity is lacking and the prices are outrageous. I haven't gone to the strip in 8 years and I live in Vegas.

Danny those noodles were just like the type you had the other night in the that Steve said to get in the beef noodle soup--I bet this dish you had tonight would have been a 9.5 with the long noodle that I know you like better that the short one's--those are not so easy to handle with the chopsticks---ok you be good--bye now
