That's an incredible version of this song. I have to admit, I grew up with voice of Danny. Was terrible teen listening to Asking Alexandria every sleepless summer night, walking through the city till morning. When I had found "The Shades of Blue" I was a bit older, and those songs made me feel more loving and more thankfull to everything in life, made me calm down and just think "oh, man, THAT'S THE MUSIC", "I got bones" will be my all time favourite to sing whatever happens. But this song. It's just incredible. I still listen to old version of Lynrd Skynrd sometimes, but Danny made it more emotional, his version reaches the deepest parts of soul, his voice makes every word of this song go right inside your heart. Danny Worsnop, thank you very much for your tallent, for inspiration and just for staying yourself

I lost my dad 2 years ago to cancer. He was one of the biggest skynrd fans I have ever met. Owned every album which I’m honored to own as my own now. For as long as I can remember this song was one of his go to songs. I can remember him waking everyone up to this song blaring at 2 am. He lived this song and to him the Van Zandt brothers are a godsend. I grew up listening to the good stuff and am blessed to have a father like I have to show me the way. Although I grew to the heavier stuff such as AA. I’ve heard different renditions of simple man. But this is the first time I’ve had goosebumps the way I did when dad sang to it. I only wish I could see his face listening to this version. 😢. But I’m closing my eyes wishing I was. God bless you Danny

Thank you for blessing our ears and our spirits Danny, you're treasured throughin and throughout. @questionableprojects I met him at a small venue as well, and honestly I preferred it over the AA concert that I went to yearsss before just because it was SO personal and emotional being in a small bar venue where you can literally just have a conversation with him and stand right at the stage. I dont think any concert would be as special as that moment just for that reason. I love AA, I love loud rowdy crowds as well, but there's something special about a small venue like that. ❤
