I'm a graduated premed going through through the process - I literally did what Calvin did - and yes I took notes on that 5 hour video Sfera put out. Took pages and pages of notes, read every reddit entry I could find, saw as many youtube videos I could find (too many to watch them all), wrote down the IHC-GCP monitoring section, etc. I took that premed grind and and focused it on getting into clinical research. I'm getting an offer tomorrow. Calvin is 100% on the money - it is scary how much his experience mirrors my own. He is giving you the blueprint to success.

So grateful to be able to listen to such conversations sitting in an entirely different continent! Calvin, I resonate so much with your drive and hard work, and this gives me a lot of confidence that I may be able to crack a job just like you, although I still need to graduate college :P. Dan, I really enjoy watching your content, thank you for all of it! I hope I get to personally contact you soon to clear some of the doubts that I have!!

Whaaat we’re so close! I did my BSN at TWU right next door! Graduated in 2018, have been a PICU nurse for the last 4 years and have taken care of patients in clinical research trials and have found it so interesting. Now I’m looking to enter that world.

Man, what a grind to get into this position. I have to admit, I am someone who is likely underestimating things a bit. I've been studying for my MCAT while applying to positions, so that's been my main focus. Going for my first interview for a CRC position tomorrow (microsoft teams). Also in gastro! Picked up a good webcam and will be dressed to impress. Can't say I'm not nervous about it, but these videos have helped a lot. I'm a premed as well (still on the med path) but have a wife and child and need a solid opportunity a few years before applying to medical school. Hopefully things work out! Appreciate the discussion fellas.

This video is so inspiring!!! Well done Calvin! I've also been studying Dan's videos, did an online GCP course with NIDA CTN and preparing myself for any Clinical Research interview that might come up. I'm also new to the field, been in Pathology industry in the lab for the last 7 years and I'm super excited about the career change.

Thx a lot for the info. guys , if you are interested in more help, try to listen to some of the clinical research radio podcasts... it can rely help. I found a interview where the guy is talking about what kind of tests is he using on new recruits, and what kind of problems they have with beginners. Since I am using spotify for music and other podcasts I just searched clinical research and scrolled to bottom where they start with episodes. It helped me with everyday motivation and I learned that they like people who have eye for grammatical and textual mistakes when working with data. Now that I know what kind of profile is required for a job, I can start boosting my skills. I passed my first job interview and I am hoping to get a job on the next one...GL

First I wanna say I saw this video 3rd on the list after searching about CRC. Second I got offered the job immediately after my interview! This was my first CRC interview. I have very little clinical research experience but I aced the interview. This video was really helpful. I’m glad I found it. Researching the position and knowing the lingo even without the experience helped in the interview.

I have a degree in Psychology and a masters in Ed. Leadership and administration. I'm waiting for an interview from Labcorp. I heard you say in the video about NIH Protecting human subjects. Can you let me know where I can get a cert. in that please. Also I would love to link up with you please? I need some pointers on getting hired for a remote CRC job.

I haven't graduated yet and I discovered the clinical research career path thanks to the KZbin algorithm. In two of my classes, we're just reading tons and tons of clinical trial papers, so I guess the algorithm started recommending videos related to clinical trials/research, which is how I found this channel. I've been watching so many videos and the clinical trial crash course over my spring break. I wish there were a way I could get experience before I even graduate, since from what I've been seeing the minimum is to be already graduated w/ a BS.

I retired from corporate life and have over 30 yrs of transferable skills. I plan to do what Calvin did and do a lot of studying. Any other tips you can share for someone almost 60 yrs old in embarking on this journey?
